It won't be 65, but it won't be 15 either. Something between both. I guess it will be around 40 Gb.
This;
Download maybe 25GB; then it uncompresses; installs etc
Nope. Sure Steampipe 'CAN' compress data however its up to the dev/pub (not sure which tbh) if they use it and seeing as compression is used to shrink down data I'd say its rather ironic that there's less chance of them using it precisely because of the size. You see the more data that's compressed the longer its gonna take to uncompress and to uncompress 15GB to 65GB would take days on slower systems. Its a little over a 4:1 compression ratio so its something along the lines of 4 times your system buses maximum data throughput to extract if it were extracting from one drive to another, if its going onto the same drive as its stored then it will take much longer still (minimum 8 times) and that's only takes into account writing the data back onto the drive, actual decompression time is still more time on top.
Plus there's the fact that lossless compression doesn't work at all with audio or video.
I am gonna stick my neck out and say R* 'might' compress GTA but on a 1:2 ratio at most, 65GB/2=32.5GB but even that will take hours to decompress.
♥♥♥♥ -_-
Retail Copy I am Coming :D
