Driving cars with keyboard and mouse
As far as i know you can adjust the speed while driving with a trigger when using a gamepad/controller, but a button on a keyboard can only provide two input states (pressed and not pressed) - is there an other way to adjust speed than tapping the accelerate button when playing with keyboard and mouse?
It may be important to avoid detection and things like that.

Would be very convenient to have something like a "speed lock" or "set max speed" button (e.g. using the mouse wheel to set the speed and using W to accelerate until the set speed is reached).

There is a "speed lock" in Euro Truck Simulator 2 on PC. If it will be implemented in this game I do not know.

at this moment in time i dont belive there is any way to agust speed other than tapping the keyboard. Maybe once the game gets closer to relise then we will find out more but as i said, there is no way. Maybe some mods will come out for it to work but who knows

I do own a controller. But playing a shooter (or the shooter parts of GTA5) is much better with keyboard and mouse.

So if you are racing or planning on driving plug in a controller, otherwise use mouse and keyboard.

That's how I usually play games like GTA. kb/m when on foot and gamepad when in a vehicle.

I was thinking it would be cool to have one of those steering wheels for driving.

And when shooting while driving?^^
Switching is very uncomfortable. A "speed lock" or "speed limiter" for keyboards would be nice and i can't imagine it to be difficult to put into the game.

Like Karim-21K said, in ETS 2 there is a "cruise control", when you press C, your current speed will lock and you can't release the W button, in Arma there is "speed limiter" aswell, altough, a bit different, while pressing W, you can press Ctrl and car will lock the speed at 50km/h while you're pressing Ctrl, I do not know if any these systems will be made possible in GTA 5.

imo i dont see the problem playing gta with keyboard always.
like, when u need a specific speed to be constant?
anyway, a thing you can do is press W a little longer, get speed and then let go, until the speed goes down and press W again, and repeat.
or keep pressing W multiple times, but this will make your car look like it has a stupid driver :D.

Obviously when he's cruising down Los Santos, showing off his new ride.

How is the shooting with a gamepad? Do you think someone with a gamepad has a great disadvantage against someone with mouse + keyboard in GTA V?

My issue with keyboard and mouse while driving isn't necessarily the speed aspect since I normally hold the gas until I need to break anyway, but it's the steering. Since A and D are completely left or completely right, the steering gets a bit jerky. However with analog sticks you can choose to slowly pull left or right. Cars like the Comet would spin out even more with keyboard controls.

Are you kidding me? If someone is experienced with mouse and keyboard there is no way anyone with a controller can reach his level....

"Drinving cars with keyboard and mouse" I don't believe there's any drinving in this game.
