Pls explain Enhanced vs Legacy
Just noted the "Enhanced" edition in my library and the original was renamed "Legacy". Can someone explain to me what this is supposed to mean? What dd they do, why did they do it, and do you think it worked?

GTA Enhanced: New graphics engine. Looks a little prettier on hardware that can support it. Also adds Animals (yes, single player had this 12 years ago too).

It also adds "GTA+", a new service where you pay a monthly fee to essentially buy a shark card and some other crappy features each month, in exchange for paying a 1/5 of the cost of the game they already bought each month. It's a blatant way for them to pad their ongoing revenue using people who are willing to pay 2x the cost of the original game each year for a game they already own and increase Rockstar's stock price since GTA6 got delayed a year.

Finally, GTA (not-so) "Enhanced" removed the ability for players to communicate with each other via text chat. No more helping your team mates during heists or organizing a car show or asking ahead of time if anyone wants to parachuting or something else. Voice chat is still there, but it's turned off by default and many people hate it and either refuse to turn it on as a personal preference, or just don't own a microphone so they can't use it anyway.

GTA "Legacy" is the game you remember. It still has text chat, but it doesn't have the updated graphics engine or the animals. It also doesn't have that god-awful constant notification spam for their GTA not-so-plus "service".

more than likely a smaller chance of getting ddosed on enhanced rather than legacy, legacy is chaos rn imo. havent played in about a week due to getting ddosed twice in less than two weeks, i feel enhanced has a lesser chance of that happening. but also ray tracing and animals are in enhanced, so thats cool

What in gods name are you talking about??? RS did not create special servers with added protection from hackers/cheaters for enhanced. Both versions still play on the same type servers, they just simply play as separate games. Also as far as the ray tracing and other tuning I was not impressed. The animals I thought would be cool but for gods sake they spawn in missions. My first mission when I spawned in on Enhanced I was greeted by 3 cougars and killed in about 2 seconds and then again. I played the Enhanced for 2 days which was 1 day to long. I uninstalled it and went back to Legacy and that is where I will stay. Others may feel differently but this is my opinion.

How are the loading times between those 2, I always only wanted faster loading to be honest. I mean even if you install it on a SSD legacy is slowwww, doesn't matter the hardware.
And yes I know it's open world but there are so many unskipable cutscenes and loading screens just add to the wait, each time.

If you ask anyone why they subscribe to Rockstar's anti-consumer service: "You can't afford eight bucks a month, bro??? Are you poor??? :mimir_lol::mimir_lol::mimir_lol:"

And that in a cost of livin' crisis including studios/publishers now pushin' ♥♥♥♥♥♥ subscription services or micropenistransactions in paid games aswell as raising prices on base games.

Lots of people play the lottery, too. I don't consider them to be smart, either.

Letting yourself be nickel and dimed to death by 50 different services you don't actually need, each "only" $whatever dollars per month is how you stay poor.

People calling others poor for not being willing to pay for whatever garbage service they are personally subscribing to at that moment are just trying to validate their own poor choices in life. Don't emulate stupid people. It's not a goal anyone should strive for.
