It also adds "GTA+", a new service where you pay a monthly fee to essentially buy a shark card and some other crappy features each month, in exchange for paying a 1/5 of the cost of the game they already bought each month. It's a blatant way for them to pad their ongoing revenue using people who are willing to pay 2x the cost of the original game each year for a game they already own and increase Rockstar's stock price since GTA6 got delayed a year.
Finally, GTA (not-so) "Enhanced" removed the ability for players to communicate with each other via text chat. No more helping your team mates during heists or organizing a car show or asking ahead of time if anyone wants to parachuting or something else. Voice chat is still there, but it's turned off by default and many people hate it and either refuse to turn it on as a personal preference, or just don't own a microphone so they can't use it anyway.
GTA "Legacy" is the game you remember. It still has text chat, but it doesn't have the updated graphics engine or the animals. It also doesn't have that god-awful constant notification spam for their GTA not-so-plus "service".
And yes I know it's open world but there are so many unskipable cutscenes and loading screens just add to the wait, each time.
Lots of people play the lottery, too. I don't consider them to be smart, either.
Letting yourself be nickel and dimed to death by 50 different services you don't actually need, each "only" $whatever dollars per month is how you stay poor.
People calling others poor for not being willing to pay for whatever garbage service they are personally subscribing to at that moment are just trying to validate their own poor choices in life. Don't emulate stupid people. It's not a goal anyone should strive for.
