GTA V Legacy vs Enhanced

Is it worth switching over to the enhanced version of the game? I know it's got ray tracing and supposedly better optimization, but how many people have moved over?

I don't know. We need to wait a little more time. I don't understand why they even made separate servers for legacy and Enhanced.

Enhanced doesnt have text chat, the upgrades may be free, but they dont tell you that your rig must have an SSD and gpu thats suited for it, not to mention, you need to install legacy as a core component to play enhanced. so its not just the disk space for enhanced you need storage for legacy files as well.

its not worth it to be honest, you get the wild life photography challenge, career page that have ♥♥♥♥ rewards, and an opportunity to pay rockstar subscription fees for cars that were already free to begin with, in which they blacklisted on purpose behind gta plus paywall scheme. the graphical improvements are minimal like ray tracing and debris damage, but why frankenstein a 2013 old game? Wait for GTA 6, ppl are sick of GTA V, its gone over three playstations and the pc got enhanced enhanced, its plain redundant now, no matter how much make up you smear a pig, its still a 2013 pork with 2025 lipstick

Who does use HDD in this age? SSDs are pretty common these days.

Also you're totally wrong in needing Legacy for Enhanced to work. They are separate installations. You don't need Legacy at all. Once you decide to transfer, just uninstal Legacy and instal Enhanced (if you're short on space, that is). You don't even need to have Legacy installed for the Migration itself. All you need is launching Enhanced and log in with your R* Social Club account (same as Legacy), Legacy doesn't need to be present on your SSD at all.

And yes, Enhanced doesn't have text chat ... yet. It's not a direct upgrade of Legacy, it's rather a port from E&E on consoles, it's even referenced as such in game files, as dataminers found out - "Text chat hasn't yet been added to online on Gen9. It will come soon" - this is literally in the game files, more specifically "Update.cfl". It's referenced as Gen9, which is current generation of consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X/S), not a term used commonly for PC.

My pc have both ssd and HD..hd size is 3tb ssd is 256mb. ..so I GOT AN ISSUE AS FAR AS SPACE AND TYPE

Mine also has HDD as the main drive for Windows and stuff, but I've got 2 external SSDs (1TB & 2TB) which are just fine for stuff like GTA V (keeping both versions) and a lot of other games. And I'll tell you, I'm not rich. Not at all. So if I can manage, you should too.

transferring you profile doesnt take it from your legacy playthru you can keep your current character in legacy,And play your characters from legacy in both game versions.
