Simple answer, voice actor for Trevor said no. In a nutshell, Steven Ogg, the voice actor who played Trevor does not like that people know him for Trevor and that fans address him as Trevor, not his real name. It's very unlikely we will see a Trevor update. Besides which, he had an appearance in GTA Online with Series A Funding. If anyone needs an update based on a protagonist, it's Micheal. To date, he has not been in GTA Online. We only have mentions of him.

I thought his appearance in Series A was more than enough, in a good way. He was included in Online, but not some major focus of things (leave that to Story mode only).
