Then, it wrongly tries to start the game and throws an error. Load the game normally.
You need to uninstall it, then run it... again.
gta5_be.exe 4 at a command prompt will uninstall it.
It has been this way since they released it back in Sept 2024.
/goodluck
If you want to see the install page.... you need to uninstall battleye first.
Open a cmd prompt, get to the game folder, and type... gta5_be 4 and enter..
It should ask if you want to uninstall. Done.
Running gta5_be again - should install it, and give a window.
(unless belauncher.exe has been modified in /battleye)
If the game is still giving your problems about battleye not being installed..... it could be for other reasons... not 'it isn't installed'. Problems with admin, permissions, av/sec, firewall, the battleye service not running in services.msc, and on and on it goes ----- trying to run on linux/steamdeck..... and on and on it goes.
There are multiple links above with additional help regarding it - including info from R*, and battleye themselves.
