Windows key locked

I have a big problem, when I enter GTA 5 the Windows key locks and doesn't let me exit the game at any time. I've already tried putting it in a borderless window and nothing, does anyone know a solution?

Probably the hot garbage anti cheat disabling the key. But typically you exit the game via the ESC key and navigating though the atrocious menu.

If you're looking for a quick exit from the game, try ALT F4.

yep, for me it doesn't work too. Alt+ f4 is how I exit game

what is it with the windows key? I'd never normally use that in any case?

If you're trying to switch back to the desktop, try CTRL-ESC instead. It's less likely to be blocked by the game.
Other similar options to try would be WIN+M for minimize all, WIN+D for desktop, WIN+R to get the run prompt up, which will minimize the game and allow you to go about your business.

Some games disable the Window key as a convenience to prevent accidentally leaving the game when trying to reload your weapon or crouch or whatever default control they have on SHIFT or CTRL. I have no idea if GTA5 does this since I don't play on Windows so don't suffer that issue anyway

Rockstar Launcher -> Settings -> Disable Windows Key [ ]

As mentioned above - you can actually enable/disable it yourself in the R* launcher.
However..... It is currently busted as of last R* launcher update or 2.

edit/below - you just open R* launcher.. by itself...

how to actually do anything in rockstar launcher? steam just closes it asap when launching from steam, so i dont have time to browse r* launcher or anything

I have already deactivated the Rockstar Launcher option but it still won't let me, anyway I discovered a way to exit without closing, Alt + Tab.

What do you mean? Alt+Tab no longer cycles between running programs in Windows 10? As a gamer I'm running Windows 7.

nope it doesnt show window previews in alt tab, it shows the legacy alt tab gui

and its hard to get minimize the game to desktop now ( i need to have firefox or another app open so i can get to desktop while game is open when i need to)
