GTA online crashes my pc

Ecerytime i join gta online crashed my pc. Screen freezes and i saw that fps are dropping. I was playing the game just fine 2 days ago. Drivers updated, my specs are good , i can play worse games than that. Setting are on low but problem remains. GTA story mode is okay. Online is a problem. Any fixes?

You can verify the game files. Sometimes corrupted files in GTA Online can cause crashes.
If that does not work, try to disable overlays from other apps like discord or geforce.
You can also try to clear the cache for GTA V (This worked for me when my game crashed even in story mode). Go to Documents\Rockstar Games\GTAV\Profiles and delete the contents EXCEPT for the cfg.dat and pc_settings.bin.
Restart the game and let it rebuild the cache.

Anti-virus not being happy with the new anti-cheat (or vice versa possibly)? What anti-virus are you using?

Avast Security, i disabled it also checked if files from gta are into quarantine. Also verified the files. I tried to clear the cache and worked for 30mins then crached. But I did not delete the files u said. Only cache folder in social folder. I ll check it out and come back later. But, if that doesn't work what else can i try?

Check if your CPU or GPU temperature spike when launching GTA V online

Nuh temp is fine. The weird thing is that i play games like hogwarts needing more ram , fps etc to run and i play them just fine but when it comes to gta online whole system crash. Saw many people had this problem but so far i have tried evrything. I even reinstalled it 2ice.

but when it crashes it shuts down your pc or something like that?

It crashes and doenst let me interact with something else. For example if i cntr alt del i cant press anything. Just freezes and i am not able to interact.

UPDATE! I deleted the files u said and for 1hr i was able to play without problems! I ll try again and see if this happens again! Thank you so much for your help!

Go Nvidia 3D settings and change
"Background Maximum Application frame rate" - change from Unlimited to 60 FPS
"Maximum frame rate" -same on 60 FPS
Latency - on Ultra

In game set FPS on 60 FPS
Grass Quality - Normal
Disable AA

Restart PC
