If that does not work, try to disable overlays from other apps like discord or geforce.
You can also try to clear the cache for GTA V (This worked for me when my game crashed even in story mode). Go to Documents\Rockstar Games\GTAV\Profiles and delete the contents EXCEPT for the cfg.dat and pc_settings.bin.
Restart the game and let it rebuild the cache.
"Background Maximum Application frame rate" - change from Unlimited to 60 FPS
"Maximum frame rate" -same on 60 FPS
Latency - on Ultra
In game set FPS on 60 FPS
Grass Quality - Normal
Disable AA
Restart PC
