GTA V Won’t Launch After Driver Update
Hey everyone,

I’ve been trying to get GTA V to work for days now, and I’m losing it. Everything was fine until I updated my graphics drivers (AMD), and now the game won’t launch at all.

When I try to start it, the Rockstar Launcher shows the game as running, but nothing actually happens—no loading screen, no error message, nothing. The Task Manager says it’s running, but it’s not. I’ve tried:

Reinstalling the game
Verifying game files
Reinstalling drivers (even rolling back to older ones)
Deleting the Rockstar profile folder in Documents
Clean booting my PC
Nothing has worked. Every other game I have runs perfectly fine, so I’m guessing it’s something with GTA V specifically.

Has anyone else had this issue and found a fix? I’m open to any suggestions at this point.

I don't know about AMD, but with nVidea you will have individual game settings within the graphics properties. You could set them, or there is a usually a tick box for "let the program control this", something of that nature. Maybe you have something similar?? and the graphics drivers update selected something incorrectly. I would open up your graphics control panel and poke around there.

In an nVidea control panel you would be looking for "3D settings" and then "program settings" as opposed to "global settings". On mine, there is also a "restore" feature. Hopefully you find something similar that will help you out.
