porting kit?

so i use porting kit to play windows games on mac, and i recently bought gta 5 and i use it with porting kit, if i play online, will i get banned? i dont want rockstar to confuse me as a cheater.

I think you already know just based on how you phrased your post - don't risk it. For a Mac and to be safe, you'd instead want to do a dual-boot with Windows (GTA Online in its current state isn't worth the bother, just my two cents).

They screwed a lot of legit players out of their progress in September. Everyone came here bit*hen....now they've mostly gone on to other quests.... I wouldn't tempt them unless you are ok with joining the ranks.

That I would think would be fine, you wouldn't get into trouble, but I must say I haven't used a Mac myself in many years and I just don't know what behavior the game might have using the "Porting Kit". If it's worked for others for GTAV Story Mode in posts you've seen, I'd say give it a shot, but I don't know myself what the experience might be like.

well basically the developers of porting kit added gta 5 to the app because they said it works, so i guess it does, the only problem is that it takes so long to download, during download it estimated 300-350 hours.

Wow! That's a crazy wait. I would still say try it, but for that extreme time commitment I hope you're familiar with the GTA series and what the gameplay is like, just so what you ultimately get is something you'll likely enjoy.

That I can address... download times vary, you may be getting placed on back burner so to speak, server could be over loaded or under attack. It told me 9 days to DL Fallout 4, it still took 26 hours (on launch day, with pre-order). It told me 23 hours for GTA when I put it on this PC, got done in under 2 hours. World of Warships took 16 hours one time, 4 hours another time. Estimate is taken by a few seconds segment and determined by the overall size, it will change many times, each time comparing maximums and minimums and giving the average estimate until the point where time is jumping 2 to 15 seconds increments every second down as the maximum is still in consideration and the minimum is actually less than the factual.

i honestly think its worth it, i normally play these linear fps games, but ive never really played open world games, im going for it.
