Can rightclick gta5 in steam, properties, installed files, browse
Else, steam / steamapps / common / grand theft auto v - gta5.exe
(or steamlibrary/steamapps/common.. blah blah)
or search the pc for gta5.exe.
If it doesn't exist.... verify game files.
If you are literally browsing the location that steam says it is installed.. the file is there.
The file is especially there if the game works. Are you getting confused with file extensions not showing? gta5.exe ---- turn on viewing file extensions if you have to.
Or again, search the pc. If the game works - that file exists.

It is not a matter of wether or not the file exists. I can see the file in file explorer and launch the game from the steam launcher. But when I go to the 5m app it directs me to look for the .exe file and even though I have both copy pasted the file location from file explorer and gone in throught thisPC>C drive> x86>steam>steamapps>common> gta5 enhanced the file is not listed.
^..... "gta5 enhanced". Don't. I will assume you gave the wrong path (enhanced), and should be in the 'legacy gta5' folder. December 24, 2024 (the time of my quote..) - is 2+months before Gta 5 Enhanced was released. As it stands, enhanced, is something that is barely supported by any storymode/modding tools yet/currently. Gta5.exe, is also not gta5_enhanced.exe - but I digress. You're simply looking in the wrong folder - if I wasn't clear.

"PC Support-
Support for the previous version of GTAV will continue, allowing anyone whose hardware does not currently meet the minimum requirements of the new upgrade to keep playing. This also ensures that support for FiveM will continue uninterrupted while we work to extend support for it on the upgraded version."
