On no...it did fix it, and immediately. Rockstar worked very hard for years to get it broken again. Way to go Rockstar. They want you to work for it, every bit of it lol.
The fix the individual found was with synching and making connections, and it did help.. but it doesn't help when modders use menus to prevent players from carrying out normal functions in the game, such as requesting vehicles, entering/exiting buildings, or even entering and synching with a lobby.
If you're going into Public Lobby, you're taking ALL of the risks associated with it.. So if you want to blame R* for anything, you can blame them for the success of mod menus.. but players have been adapting and adapted to modded public lobbies for years.. so failure to utilize these alternative options is on you..
1-2min for hdd
just over 30sec with nvme ssd from starting the game to loading into a solo session
On ps3 there was the windmills at the apartments in like 50% of lobbies lol. The tow truck crash was common enough... Theres always been BS.
Launch on pc they could delete your cash on hand. By ~2018-2019 they could delete all your properties and vehicles. By about that same time, you started seeing remote crashes, and a lot more session crashes. There was private RCE's floating around too. The one in the og heists is one that im aware of (got patched around the time the casino one did, recently)... Then it went free on epic, and 2020 to around 2022 was the worst.
For the past like 2 years though, that trend had reversed pretty sharply. The popular menu that everyone was using had removed sessions kicks and crashes... It was more like the ps3 days, compared to the 2019-2022 hell holes.
With that kernel garbage, its going to be more like 2019, but on steroids. The RCE's are going to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nasty... And its not going to be like the past few years, where the $10 skid sellers are getting hit and then putting it in their menu, and making exploits public... Theyre going to stay hidden for years again.
Ctrl-alt-delete and pull up the task manager
Select Performance on the left side.
In the upper right corner (under the X) there are 3 dots (...) Click that, select Resource Monitor.
Right click on GTA 5 and click Suspend process.
Count to 5
Right click on GTA 5 and click Resume Process
No idea why, but this works. You'll be either in game when you alt tab back or within 5 seconds.
I am launching from the R* launcher (which launches through steam) which takes me into story mode in under 30 seconds, I then go to Crew - 2, private, invite only and such in less than 15 seconds. In other words, in under 1 minute I load into story mode, and swap to online. I could not give a time for a regular public lobby as I do not go there if I can avoid it.
