Windows key was disabled in game (?)

What an awful move...
I can no longer use the Start Menu or Windows Shortcuts.

I tried Fullscreen, Windowed, Windowed Borderless settings, but the issue persists.

Anyone experiencing the same?

Open the R* launcher, look in the settings~

edit - seems I double checked that on a modded copy. Now, it isn't working. 3 cheers for R* literally breaking 'something' every update - for... years...

The Windows key doesn't work anymore at me either and at my friend no either. We tried out we turned on and off the disable Windows key option in the launcher, after every settings we lanuched the GTA 5 and we tested the Windows key, but nothing went good. I hope this bug will be fixed soon!

You can Disable or enable it in rockstar settings. You might be able to enable it through steam, gtav properties. I have it disabled because I chose it that way, I use the left alt key as sprint in just about all games I play. That freaking windows key really torques my lugnuts.

No, we can't solve it on Steam GTA 5 settings either. My friend tried it, but didn't work.

Same here, it's bad using ALT+TAB on GTAO cuz you make a pin when on map and change weapons on a vehicle or on foot...

So we kinda need Windows key to escape game focus to another window (like my case with multiple monitors), without messing with in-game things lol

the game doesnt use the 3D alt tab view anymore it uses the legacy flat alt tab window with just icons

seems like protection against external cheats so ppl cant alt tab easily in preparation for e and e content

If it's really a protection as you say, why they didn't remove this option from the launcher's settings? So it's maybe a bug.

Shift+tab for steam then hit windows key. Simlpe.

hold alt and hit tab, and then you can press the windows key

Go to Rockstar Games Launcher > Settings > General > Disable Windows key > Turn it Off

My windows key was also disabled when battle eye joining the fray, even in the rockstar launcher its set to not disable but its still disabled so yeah it broke.
