Eye In The Sky mission - game breaking bug

I can't scan Franklin. A square reticle is supposed to appear around the target and no matter how much you zoom in, it never does. Pressing the scan button does nothing. The "out of range" text doesn't even appear.

Any thoughts? I'm using the RSSC version but have verified the files using their tool. I see that a number of people are having problems in this mission with the targets not appearing at all. I've tried reinstalling the game and starting the mission with both Franklin and Trevor. No dice. Kinda ridiculous really; I can't proceed in the story. I've also encountered a strange issue where you can't complete one of Beverly's missions. You're supposed to take a picture of the celebrity being handcuffed after she crashes her car and no matter which angle you take it from you always fail.

Any help would be appreciated!

Sadly I did not find any solution that works. Someone suggested redownloading the game. I did and it hasn't fixed anything I'm afraid. Care to enlighten me?

Another on the Rockstar forums (who was actually helpful, unlike the above) got back to me. The problem is to do with multi-screen modes. Even though mine was only set to clone, currently this breaks various things in the game on Nvidia cards (although it may very well do the same on AMD). It's also the cause of the distorted phone and mouse cursor glitch. To fix it, use single display only.

Thanks so much for taking the time to update your thread man, you helped me out a lot. I could not find a fix for this except yours. I honestly thought I was going I was going to be unable to beat a game I bought at full price not once, but twice! Thanks amigo :)

Well, I haven't tried yet reinstalling the game. I tried already unplugging my second display, after that it shows the "Blue face-frame" but still can not even scan Franklin.

I tried again and now the problem is solved. Thanks again. I am still looking the solution to play on the TV.
