If you are having this problem with your AMD.. they have beta's out 15.5 Beta 5/28/2015
Nvidia's Version 353.06 - WHQL
Release Date Sun May 31, 2015
-Go Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA V and open Settings.xml
-Scroll down and locate: DX_version value, set it to 2
-Then open gta v and wait to the start menu
-Go options and graphics settings
-Now press "Alt+Tab" to desktop
-Press it again to go back to the game
-Now your game should be running on dx11 :)
Hope it works for you guys! Btw i´m using a laptop with a 7690m + HD 4000.
Can you provide a little more detail? When you Alt Tab it accepts DX11, and doesn't ask you to restart?
If I do this, it still asks me to reboot the game and starts up in DX10 again.
Exact same thing happens to me , plus DX_version value of mine is already 2 , despite being dx10 in game.
