Can´t change to DirectX 11
So since the last update my game starts in dx10 mode, when I try to change it, a message appears saying: You must restart the game to apply the changes, i restarted but without changes, still playing at dx10 with a lot of lags and stuttering, any one having this problem too?

Are you using Nvidia? Because I watched some forums and it´s an AMD problem :/

I am running 2 7970's CF and no problems here.. try updating Nvidia drivers.. new ones out not to long ago... also what video card are you running? some won't run this in 11 if to weak... it defaults to lower setting in Dx for you..

Yeah, same problem for me as well. Before the patch I ran DX11 just fine. After the patch, it reverts back to DX10 after the restart. I'm running nVidia GTX680. Like I said, no problems before the patch, no changes with the system (i.e. - drivers, etc.). I'm settling with 10 for now and bumped up some other settings but hopefully there will be a fix soon. You and I can't be the only ones with the problem.

Same problem here i'm on non steam version, got no stuterring but the graphics suck with no tesselation, no grass and other stuff and i'm on a HD7970M

I've got the same issue here . Even if i managed to force DX11 , settings that require DX11 such as grass or DOF have no effect . I've tried reinstalling to resetting my overclocks, but they've never worked. I presume we've got to wait for another patch.

Same here, with a 740M I've tried 6 times to enable Dx11 before it worked, but when I enabled the MSAA, the game crashed and now i can't go back to dx11, stucked with dx10.

I kinda found a temporary solution , follow this steps:

-Go Documents/Rockstar Games/GTA V and open Settings.xml
-Scroll down and locate: DX_version value, set it to 2
-Then open gta v and wait to the start menu
-Go options and graphics settings
-Now press "Alt+Tab" to desktop
-Press it again to go back to the game
-Now your game should be running on dx11 :)
Hope it works for you guys! Btw i´m using a laptop with a 7690m + HD 4000.

Can you provide a little more detail? When you Alt Tab it accepts DX11, and doesn't ask you to restart?

If I do this, it still asks me to reboot the game and starts up in DX10 again.

Exact same thing happens to me , plus DX_version value of mine is already 2 , despite being dx10 in game.
