That is wild. I did not know any of that, and as much as I enjoyed his music in the past, i am able to adapt and recognize when someone should not be trusted or glorified anymore. Especially anyone, like Dr Dre, who has made the mistake of telling us they are friends with Diddy before we knew what we now know about Diddy.
Again, not that I'd even disagree with it and who knows maybe my cynical inclinations are wrong and there really wouldn't even be much to remove, I don't know. But especially as long as they'd replace it with more equally good music of the same genre I'd be all for it. Certain actions like wife beating and SA are bad enough unless they're many years and much clear and public effort to right such wrongs removed from their offences they should absolutely be a threat to the rich and famous's continued riches and fame.
But alas we (I'm assuming we're both American with your last line) live in a nation of hypocrites where at least a third will fear monger about a man in drag but is perfectly fine electing a man that bragged about barging into beauty pageant dressing rooms that had minors in various states of undress in there and getting away with it, so I'm not holding my breath on us ever holding rich jack offs fully to account for their misdeeds anytime soon. At least not in any real good clean way like anyone of us with a functioning conscious would want to see anyway
Those are all valid sentiments, no doubt. And there is for sure a part of me here that is talking about cancelling Dre from the game entirely. However my concern is more so that the game itself has what we can now deduce to be a direct reference to a diddy party. And the music itself is hard coded into the mission for which it's introduced, along with the rest of the exclusive Dr Dre music released for the DLC. So we have no choice but to listen to this glorification of something horrible. But i suppose it is Grand Theft Auto afterall and perhaps it is par for the course. Oh well.
