The USAID of the gaming industry
Personally I think those both statements are false, becouse cheaters in game make other people less likely to play a game. They should have their own servers and sell some premium vehicles, only for real cash like in other games, having all the resources to fight with cheating and have steady income to pay for those servers.
When somebody will pay ex. 50 USD or more for Oppressor alone he will be not so much into cheating any more. I have spent at least 2000 USD for World of Warships and I never even thought about cheating, because the risk was too high. So the other players. Anyway, the only cheat avaiable in this game was aimbot as an overlay for the game. There was no possiblity to change stats, cash, teleport, god mode etc., becouse they had they own game servers.
I suggest they hire 2 people and actively patch their game lol.
How do mod menu makers with 2 devs do it?
1. By scanning servers statistics ex. somebody got too much of cash from something, killed entire lobby in the same time in different places etc.
2. By workers playing himself and watching.
3. By game reporting itself that something is wrong.
4. By monitoring program of running processes
Then cheaters will don't know what is hitting them. As developer you can just terrorise them if you want, but it looks like they don't want to do that properly. If they care about every customer they can not to ban people, but send them to cheaters only lobbies (like bad sport) instead.
Oh really??!! I just checked and I am still totally blacklisted for not doing an F'n thing wrong, and then calling them out on it. The ban wave will happen for you and your friend, just keep playing until it does.
I personally don't care about the game, and this is where they misjudge myself and others like me. I don't care about the ban. They stole my progress, including the cash, and for that they can go f*ck themselves if they think they will ever get the opportunity to do it again, and I do mean on ANY game they make, or have made. I'm absolutely done with all Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive titles, and I will absolutely smear their lousy names any place i can. I could not give a crap about looking like someone with a bad attitude. They'll never get another nickel from me.
I bought GTAV the day it was released and it didn't play because there was an issue with the very first server. It took 3 days before the game actually populated. Not really that important but it happened!!
Next.. I ranked up. it only took 9 months and everyday playing every mission and race and feature the game offered to gain $$$ .. because I'd be damned if I EVER paid a game company MORE money just to play the game I already payed for. (They got you fooled though)
So, in GTA IV,... 2010 a guy named "BradyMac666" fingered out how to make a car go 9999mph
with 9999% forced gravity.
Then came the rocket gun and the flying car and on and on....
BUT...... when Rockstar games banned my account of 12yrs with ALL the achievements earned simply because folks like you,.. had contacted them to ask them to DEAL WITH MODDERS in GTAV.... ROCKSTAR checked everyone's account... and banned all accounts with ANY alterations.
So what did modders do?
They simply created a function in the script manager that allows them to ADD funds to other players accounts,... thus getting 1/3 of ALL GTAV players BANNED. That when I said I f I can't beat them... join them. And I became a modder, and MAN... it was fun!
You see kids... I'm 61, and I've seen game Devs go from wonderfully generous, fun loving coders and creators, to a generation of fascist capitalists who provide as little as possible for as much as possible, not to mention the DLC and early access that never quite adds up to the cost. (and WTF is EARLY ACCESS anyway?,.. beside making $ off a "promise" to finish something you already got paid for,... so why finish?
So I have no problem with modding but I do have an issue with lack of moderation in modding.
FACT; "Game crashing" and "De-ranking" retail players "KILLED" GTA and it was Rockstars own fault for expecting kids and teens to "PAY2PLAY" a game that was always free of in-game currency.
