Fix the damn memory issue.
I've reported this issue MULTIPLE times, myself among others are having this same issue and rockstar needs to address this issue ASAP. I have to set my settings to high to be able to last about 2 hours before I crash out.

This is *not* a hardware issue under any circumstances. I have checked my memory and I have a program that tells me how much memory each game uses. The whole "out of game memory" is a false crash error that is causing crashes and this has never happened before, but the recent update has caused this to happen.

There is no memory issue, just people with ageing hardware probably running some kind of external overlay like Discord or Opera

yeah, my ryzen 9 7900x with 64gib ram and pcie4 ssd's is very ancient. prehistoric even.
and no, not a single overlay other than steam and rockstar launcher plus built-in win11's game bar were enabled. had these "out of game memory" errors twice already.

You need 128 GB of ram for this game

and a 5090 with 32gb vram brought to a repair shop, upgraded for more vram and a software engineer who is updating the drivers so the card won't crash if you end the game through undervoltage

Rockstar's page. I talked to support for a while and they gave me a bunch of things to do, none of which worked.

Hahahahahahaha. Nice try bud. I'm not running this game on a toaster. I have a high end machine that can easily run shaders on this game with 120 fps. I don't do it often because of the lagspikes and memory issues.

The 5090 is a scam.

Twice? Lucky you. I've gotten it probably a dozen times by now. I was hoping it would be fixed with the most recent micropatch but that doesn't seem to be the case. Some days I can go 6h without crashing, others I can't even go 30 mins without getting "out of game memory" which is wild considering the game was running perfectly fine, no issues and all of a sudden I'm driving and I get the error.
Figured I'd go and give an update here.

I've gotten in contact with Rockstar support and after a bunch of back and forth, the issue was found out to be a memory leak. As of right now I'm trying to tell them it's an issue with the game and not hardware.

They only respond to shark card sales

Well after a long discussion with them, they've moved the ticket to the devs so hopefully the devs do something.
