if you wanna be able to keep playing without any problems, do not uninstall, turning battleye on with another device does nothing, uninstalling disables it for some reason... if steam could put the launcher in the steam store for free this would probably fix this issue

Is BattlEye compatible with Steam Deck?
Steam Deck does not support BattlEye for GTA Online. You will be able to play GTAV Story Mode but unable to play GTA Online.

Else, disable battleye in R* launcher/settings, or use -nobattleye in launch options or via commandline.txt for storymode, sp mods, etc.

Im not sure what your issue is on the deck with the base game, still works for me on the Deck? have you uninstalled and all that stuff? The online being removed was quite the erm downer....
