activation code was allready in use , how to solve

after buy the game when i try to start it ask for the activation code , the code was already fil full it was come from steam when i click the check button it says that it was already in use , after that i try to talk with rockstar but they sayed it was connect with another account , and i have to talk with steam , i email steam but they still don't give me any response can you please help me !

If you enter the error message you are getting in the "Search this topic" box to the right, you will find lots of information that should help. This is pretty much the most common post type, to this Discussing group.

You have rdr2. Chances are your steam is/was already linked to a social club account. That is the account you need to use - as your gta5 was likely automatically linked to that account.

If you cannot use the account you used to play rdr2 - as in, rdr2 also can't log in/connect - chances are something happened to your old account (lost/hacked/not recovered/trying to use a new social club account (you can't without R*'s help).

You can also log into to the social club website with what you believe are the right login/password ---- that works for rdr2. Then go to account/settings - linked accounts tab. If your steam account is not showing up linked there...... you need to talk to R* (unless you get lucky and have an email from R* notifying you of an email change and you can recover your old account.

tl;dr/lazy - use this link below to contact R* without logging in to RECOVER the already linked social club account/fix/change email to one you have access to. Many hoops to jump to prove you're the owner, have steam account, cdkey etc, and roll the dice on help-
