Restoring my mods after uninstall ( mods folder, scripts folder, OpenIV )
Hello,

I recently just uninstalled GTA V from Steam, but now I'm bored and want to reinstall the game, but without the need to go through and reinstall my mods, and I have a ton (VisualV, LSPDFR, etc).

Is there any solution to restoring my mods ( mods folder, scripts folder, OpenIV ) without reinstalling the mods?

Thanks

If you didn't delete the steam/steamapps/common/grand theft auto v folder after you uninstalled - they should still be there- uninstall only removes vanilla files. If you used a 'mods' folder via openiv, it should still be there - /scripts, .asi's, all of it. Depending when you last played the modded copy - you may have to update some files in 'mods'. Just look and see before you install - you should be able to tell.

Otherwise, reinstall'm.

So, if I uninstalled it through steam, it should still be there? (I didnt mess around with the files, I let steam do the uninstalling)

So, I found the file. Do I install GTA V first and then..?

Found what? The file being? The files? The folder I listed - is it full of files?

Uninstalling gtav will only remove the vanilla files. That means all your mods 'should' still be 'there' including the 'mods' folder. If you installed all those mods correctly - just reinstall gtav. It 'should' (not tested) install over the top and work. If you wanted to be super safe you could rename that gtav folder to -mods or something, install gtav, then copy everything in the -mods folder - and paste into the newly installed gtav folder.

Again, this depends when you last played - if it was... before mid Jun - possible issues.

Alright, because I had the same problem before and when I reinstalled it, it just made me reinstall all my mods, and didn't save any.
So the scripts and OpenIV folders / files should still be there when I reinstall?
Or do I need to drag the folders / files from steam/steamapps/common/gtav to the new GTA V folders (if the mods don't automatically reinstall)
