GTA V Casino restrictions

i dont know about you guys but it really botters me that i cant gamble in the casino since it was released... been from a country whom cant do anything in the casino only the penthouse missions... i find it unnecesary spending 2 million in the penhouse if i cant enjoy the full content of the casino... so for the looks of it rockstar games abandoned searching a way to figure out to solve this problem for all the countrys...

i mean the restrictions are applied becose you can use your real money to buy credit sharks (GTA$) and whit GTA$ you can buy chips... gambling been really adictive for some people it brings legal issues for rockstar that people can use his real money to buy chips...

so isnt that hard to go around this problem and make the content available for all people...
rockstar games just need to move his lazy ass and make a few changes...

like:
-You cant no longer buy chips whit GTA$
-you can only change chips for GTA$
(if i can't change my GTA$ for chips how im going to get chips then) easy there little troll...
- change the missions of the penthouse to give gta$ and also a small amount of chips...
so you will encourage people to get a ♥♥♥♥♥ penthouse and complete de missions...


so there you have it... since you cannot longer buy chips whit GTA$... there is no legal problem for rockstar so there is not restrictions for any country...
isnt that hard to ♥♥♥♥♥ fix the problem for everyone.

reward this thread/discussion if you think that this could be a great solution for everyone who want to play all the content in gta online...

I don't know the specific laws of where you live that might cause them to block that access, in some cases IIRC they were being overly cautious and could likely allow that. The thing I find most egregious is that limited access players like yourself can't do the daily wheel spin. That only hands out prizes, never deducts anything, so I see no legal reason they can't. However, it's likely I think laziness in that they'd need to do some special logic that converts chip prizes into just in-game money for players who can't use the gambling stuff. Anyway, it is lame that it's so locked down for you and many others.

there is like 50+ countrys who have limited access to the casino... in some cases like mine you cant do anything not a single thing... just only get the penthouse and the missions...
its been 4 years already of the release of the casino its about time that this get fix for everyone...

i already check the therms... the issue isnt gambling the issue is that you can buy a credit card shark to get GTA$ using real money... and you can buy chips using gta$... so you are using real money to gambling electronicly... that's the illeagal issue whit the country's who are restricted... so the solution is dont make the chips be able to get whit gta$

think about it please... if the problem was about what is or isnt illegal nobody should be playing the game since, robbing banks, casinos, stores, islands, dealing whit drugs killing people isnt legal in any country my friend...

Well I guess the countries, that outlaw gambling in all their forms (even virtual) are in minority. Do you think, that people from countries, that allow gambling, would be happy with such decision? So far Shark Cards work for all stuff in the game, you buy a Shark Card, you get GTA$ for it, you spend GTA$ on cars, clothes, weapons, properties, upgrades and stuff. People from gambling supportive countries can use their cash on the virtual gambling as well, which gives them advantage over those, who don't buy Shark Cards, just like with the rest of the stuff. If you don't buy Shark Cards, you can only buy stuff, that you've earned your GTA$ for in a long time (or did some profitable missions). If they loose this advantage, they won't be happy and R* knows that. If they are in the majority, then it's unfortunate for the minority, that has gambling banned. That's a very simple R* policy, please the majority, let the cash flow, screw the rest. A few countries, that ban gambling is literal nothing for them.

You're missing the point too. In most countries you can't gamble under 18/21 age and in online casinos need ID proof registration. Thus gtao casino is "illegal" more or less everywhere. Or in short no one gives a ♥♥♥♥ about it and R* "banned" some countries due to some basic pr.

This is incorrect.. the governments of the countries forbidding gambling are the ones that have ordered R* to remove the potential to gamble.. if R* wants to sell their titles in those countries, they have to play by their rules..

If you can still do the Casino Heist by setting it up with an Arcade, then I still think there is a point to the penthouse, but it's a story point.. the penthouse missions help you understand why you're hitting the casino in the first place..

If you can't set up the Casino Heist via Arcade, then not only is there no purpose to the penthouse other than an extra garage, there's not really any point to the arcade aside from the extra garage. The 5k per day the arcade makes is negligeable after 45 minutes of play.

If you're not big on story or cutscenes, then yea, Penthouse is just a garage..

Ok, this is where I have to stop you. GTA Online is a video game, not an online casino. It has a casino in it, but that does not mean it is an online casino. I mean, if that were the case and anything that depicts gambling is illegal, then your phone would not have Slotomania installed on it. If your country outlaws gambling, you don't get to play the casino. But that also does not mean everyone should be downgraded to the same level as well. Country change exists. VPN's exist. If it bugs OP that badly, don't play it or use a VPN.

Rockstar isn''t controlling this. The country's laws are. Look at Cyberpunk 2077 in the US and then look at it in a country that has restrictions. It's censored. The same goes for GTA Online. The casino is censored due to a country's restriction, not because Rockstar is censoring it themselves.

Countries have laws for games; the OP is in a country that restricts the Casino. Meaning, that there is absolutely nothing that Rockstar can do.

once again... the problem is not gambling... the problem its that the current mechanic of the game allows you using you real money to buy GTA$ and whit GTA$ buy chips you are using people adiction to profit... that is what countrys laws ban... so Rockstar to avoid legal issues they restrict the access of the casino minigames...

i know that i can use a VPN to change my location and get access to the casino minigames like blackjack... but i might get banned if i change my location...

Also Steam may pick that i change my location due to the VPN Service and change all games prices and i will not longer be able to buy a game in my country currency... making them more expensive or cheaper so due to this steam is going to ban me to buy games... so that why using a vpn isnt worth it...

and fixing the casino issue isnt that hard... they only have to change the possibility of getting chips using GTA$...
