Game wont save

What do i do i have been trying to fix this problem for a week i always reach a certain part i want to save but it wont let me and when i restart my game it puts me back into first mission can anyone help me?

Is it 'not saving'/can't save at all? I'd check controlled folder access / see if gta5 is allowed.
or you think it saves, and it drops you back? I'd check if you got onedrive messing with you.
Are you actually going in to manually save?
Autosaving on/off?

i have tried a lot of ways even contacting rockstar support but they werent of much help they just told me to reset the files or check for any corrupt files without any instruction i even tried searching on google, youtube and etc nothing really helped me and yes i turned it on and off nothing changed it just says "autosave failed would you like to try again?"

Fairly sure you can't save mid mission if thats what you are having problems with...
Make sure you are not on a mission and then goto a bed and then try to save.

no what i mean is that whenever it tries to save after i complete a mission it says it was failed then i try manual save by going to the characters house but nothing works for me
