Am I the only one who refuses to play enhanced?
I heard it laggy and the game is overall a failure. I'm unsure if its true, but nonetheless I'd like to know.

Needs a good pc to run.
Enhanced looks and runs much better for me compared to legacy. Grass in legacy especially used to tank my FPS - buttery smooth in enhanced though. Loading times are faster too. This is with a RTX 3090 though, modern but not exactly top of the line.

Can't speak for the issues in GTA Online, but that part of the game ALWAYS has issues anyway so...

it runs better than Legacy does on all 5 of my systems ranging from old potato to new super computer so tbh i;m confused by the wide variety of opinions on the matter. then again all my systems have AMD GPUs. there seemed to be a stuttering problem with Nvidia cards but a lot of folks reporting that it's been fixed with today's patch.

Are you saying you can get the "Enhanced" to run ok on your potato computer. If that is true there are probably a lot of people out there that would like to know that is possible. I am sure there would need to be some fine tuning adjustments but that is a big benefit and plus for playing games on a pc to began with.

Enhanced is better optimized and will run better.

But netcode has issues, huge drops in public lobbies. Example :

I refuse until they add text chat back into the game... ripping that out was unacceptable.

Will add my findings.

i7 2600k 3.40ghz 8cpu
16gb ddr3 ram
gtx 1050 Ti 4gb
Seagate barracuda hdd (no ssd's here)

For me there is no real fps performance difference between the 2 versions except enhanced runs better in public sessions, higher fps than it did in legacy.

My card does not support raytracing and I never use max textures and shadow settings so my enhanced is nearly using same power my legacy did.

Only major difference was that I used the "very high" textures option in legacy which used about 2400mb video memory.
but that option in enhanced uses twice as much gpu memory.
This does not seem to obliterate my fps though.
And if I lower it to normal in enhanced it will yield same memory usage as very high in legacy, but stuff does start to look blurry.

I am a 60 fps player.
Populated legacy public session can go as low as 29 fps for me
Populated enhanced sessions can go as low as 45 fps

yessir. my oldest PC is an i7-870 CPU 2.8ghz stock but overclocked to 3.8ghz. AMD R9 Fury X 4gb GPU. And 16gb of RAM. Gets a better framerate for the Online than legacy does at all lowest settings. had previously stopped playing on that system with Legacy cuz the framerate dropping to 30fps was unplayable. On Enhanced its much more stable around 60fps and staying in the 50's.

I refuse to play enhanced...

But then again I basically refuse to play legacy anymore ever since they added in malware that pretends to be "anti-cheat"

I don't want to play the game enough to jump through whatever hoops are necessary to play it without installing that intrusive BattlEye malware on my system.

I already had zero desire to play online as there's absolutely nothing positive in the online mode. It is nothing but a gigantic scam designed solely to maximize the amount of money you pay. ($50 for a single copy/pasted vehicle is disgustingly overpriced)

Played through the story enough to not care if I ever play it again. Been having more fun playing the infinitely superior GTA IV again. It's actually crazy how much more detailed IV is, and how much more content IV has.

When compared to IV, V is a MASSIVE downgrade for the franchise.

Enhanced does not impress me, I thought wow finally something really cool, but no. Legacy works perfect and my fps is around 40-70. Those small changes and raytracing and what not - thats not impressive. I thought RS cared about their product and customers, but money talks more than actually correcting all those things reported by customers for years - bad textures, bad road textures, missing signals, wrong signals, missing signs and missing city life that they stated that Los Santos is a city with millions of people etc..........Hahaha...
Am I the only one who refuses to play enhanced?

What? *90 IS the top of the line for the 30 series XD... or Ti version for 'enthusiasts'. Unless you meant compared the new generation 5090.

I wish my rtx 3060 is that 3090 instead. :cgrazz:
