Able to Break The Sound Barrier?
Let me start off with saying YES, I do used mods, but in singleplayer. So today I was with my friend Eric in a skype call and he said why don't you try to break the sound barrier. SO I accepted! Now I changed the RPM( Revolutions Per Minute) to 400 on a Turismo R. I got 450 MPH. I tried it with every other super car and only got 450 as the most. Tried with motor bikesand 500 mph was the best. I used a speed boost to go to 250 mph instantly but I only got 550 mph. I then did a wheelie with the boost and got 797 mph! In order to break the sound barrier in real life, you have to reach about 770 MPH. So by theory I should of broken the sound barrier but nothing happened.

My question to you is:
Do you think that R* should add a sonic boom effect?

if theres a vehicle that can reach that speed without mods sure

I dont think your pc would be able to renders the world at that speed most likely it would cause a crash
Uh, no. Pointless.
actually it depands what the tempature is.
if it's hotter you need to go faster to break the sound barrier if its colder....well you get the point.

Um if you break the sound barrier IRL you wont hear it only those around you will. If they enabled in on MP it would require them have it so all sound goes quiet the second before the blast sound and if you're right next to it it can blow your ear drums. So no they shouldnt because you wouldn't hear it in SP and in MP trolls would use it to annoy people.

Yes, Rockstar should add a sound effect for something that is not actually achievable within the base game.

Better proposition: some should make a sonic boom mod to accompany your supersonic speed mod.

Yeah if a vehicle that can go over the sound barrier is added, (preferably a fighter jet imo) then other people around you should hear a sonic boom when you zoom past them.

Great 3 years necro,gj
Also it seems you don't know the difference between sonic boom and Prandtl-Glauert effect, maybe you should educate yourself first

Did I says that I didn't know the difference or did I even mention it? No. Stop assuming ♥♥♥♥, this was just my opinion on the subject, no more.

It's very clear from your post,no assuming required.
Maybe you should pay more attention to details, maybe next time you won't necro a 3 year old thread.

I just searched Google for breaking sound barrier in GTA V and I found this thread, thought it was interesting and wanted to comment. I don't see a problem in that, do you? And how do I come front as to making it seem like I don't know the difference?

By the time you'd gotten up enough speed to break the sound barrier, you'd be WAY off the map. No point to this thread. Necroing it least of all.

I think he reffered to the next GTA game, in where we probably will see a bigger map. R* could also scale down speed like they did in GTA V.

He was clearly talking about GTA V, since it was 2015. And you pointlessly necroed it with no mention of GTA VI.
