GTA V Launcher Stuck On Loading Windows 10
My Launcher has been stuck on the loading screen when I try to start the game. I already re-installed the whole game (waste of an hour) and deleted the Rockstar folder in my Documents and the thing you use to sign in and I installed that again too, What could the problem be? Thanks!

Done all that. Didn't help.

There's an issue with GTA and the Social Club on Win10. I've tried admin and compatibility modes, and even reinstalled the game, it still plays the same way each time. The game will run fine, but crashes within 5-30 mins. I contacted Rockstar, their first response was that they don't support Win10, I pushed and they suggested compatibility mode. It'll just have to wait until they fix it. Win10 runs great otherwise and none of my other games are having any issues, so rolling back isn't worth the effort or necessary. Rockstar needs to figure this out, since the preview ISO was available for at least half a year.

all i can tell you is that you're not including some information because all the steps i mentioned work for me, GPU is back to being overclocked (Nvidia GTX 750 TI FTW ACX) and running at full/ultra settings so you're either taking a short cut or not doing some step

Are you referring to me? I tried all of these things, even reinstalled the game and tried compatibility mode for Win8 too. The game acts the same way each time, plays fine but within 5-30 mins crashes.

I fixed this problem on my PC SOLUTION

The Problem: The Launcher for GTAv would "load" forever

The "Fix:"
(I did 5 things I'm not sure if all are required to fix this issue or not.)

First I started by disabling those popups when things happen on your computer. User account controls I think there called?

Secondly I went to the directory where GTA5 is on the hard drive and did four things. I changed the compatibility settings to "windows 7" and also "running as administrator." for both GTAV.exe and GTAVLauncher.exe

This Fixed MY issue.

Sounds like a Display Driver, I would Uninstall it, and reinstall latest stabile build.

Just got an response from Rockstar. They said that they are working on an update so that the game would work (better) on Windows 10. Hopefully we will get it soon.

I tried the compatibility and admin fixes, for Win7 and Win8, didn't seem to make any change. Good point about the driver, I'll try that next thanks.

That is great news! I'm glad to hear they're actually working on this. I got a response from Rockstar too for a possible fix to try in the mean time. It's a pretty interesting suggestion so I'll give it a try and see if it works. I'll post the message below for anyone else who needs to try it.

Hello cmh175,

We are sorry to hear that you are still having issues with your game.

It appears that you are receiving core Windows Operating System .dll file crashes. When corrupted, these tend to cause issues across a number of applications.

As with any Windows corruption, it may be a good idea to start with a virus scanner. File corruption can be caused by a variety of factors, most completely unrelated to malware, but it is always a good idea to run a scan if you see these types of errors.

Once the virus scan is complete, we are going to use the sfc /scannow tool, to check for system corruption, and hopefully repair any damaged files.

The sfc /scannow command (System File Checker) scans the integrity of all protected Windows system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible.

*Warning*
*Be aware that if you have modified your system files as in theming explorer/system files, running sfc /scannow will revert the system files such as explorer.exe back to it's default state. Make the appropriate backups of your system files that you have modified for theming if you wish to save them before running sfc /scannow.*

To Run the SFC /SCANNOW Command:

Open a elevated command prompt:
-Navigate to the Start Menu->All Programs->Accessories==> Then right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator

To Scan and Repair System Files NOTE: Scans the integrity of all protected system files and repairs the system files if needed. Please see above.
In the elevated command prompt, type the following and press Enter:

sfc /scannow

NOTE: This may take a little bit to finish.

When the scan is complete, hopefully all files will pass, and it will say "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
**If SFC could not fix something, then run the command again to see if it may be able to the next time. Sometimes it may take running the sfc /scannow command 3 or more times to completely fix everything that it's able to.

**If not, then you can attempt to run a System Restore using a restore point dated before the bad file occured to fix it. You may need to repeat doing a System Restore until you find a older restore point that may work.

When done, close the elevated command prompt.
If none of these resolves the issue, it may be worth creating a new Windows user log-in with administrative privileges, and try running the game from there, and see if that resolves your issue.

If you continue to have issues, please feel free to reply directly to this ticket.

Best regards,

Aaawyeah! I got it to work! All I had to do it to go C:\Users\username\Documents\Rockstar Games\ and remove Social Club folder alltogether. After that I launched the game and it worked!

Is this to fix crashing or the game getting hung while loading?
Irondeagle 2018 年 3 月 28 日 下午 6:59
same but i am on windows 7 i open the game and launcher pops up and it says it exited wrong and wont start from the launcher anymore

(i grabbed the most helpful one from all of the first page i think this is the best chance of fixing it)

It could be a problem with the cloud/cloud saves.
-Try navigating to documents (not thru steam folder) and locating the Rockstar Games folder.
-Make sure to make a copy of the folder before continuing.
-Rename Rockstar Games to anything and then delete the folder, then re-launch GTAV thru steam. (renaming allows for folder for deletion, won't let you otherwise + when you relauch GTA will make another Rockstar Games folder.)
This is what worked for me, hope it works for you!
