You cant turn both at once, it will lag as hell, msaa only improves the motion blur and few stuff, if you think your game looks bad turn the textures to very high to make it look better. Whats your specs?

I'd rather play the game with sega genesis graphics than sub 60 fps.

MSAA is never recommended for this game. It absolutely kills fps depending the location even with high end graphic cards on 970s.

Anyone claiming they can run the game "max" with some MSAA is lying and should be ignored as they probably get 60fps on the city at night, but around 30 to 40 fps in the desert/ forest part of the game.

Stick with FXAA.

Also, I think using DSR + SMAA will result in VAC ban.

I'm pretty sure you can run MSAA + Max settings on GTX 980 SLI.

I wouldn't know. However, if you seen Totalbiscuit's video on GTA, it isn't exactly true. Then again, the amount of fps varity depending on your location.

Yeah, and TB's video is old anyway. I'm not sure if they have improved or decreased the performance over time.

Well man you are right but textures are the most important setting in my opinion, it changes the game way too much, i'd rather lower post fx and grass. Thats just my opinion of course.

Why would they vac ban for DSR + SMAA? I ran it for a bit to see how many fps I got. Which was about 5-10 with every setting on max lol. Didn't keep it like that for long. I have also tested a multitude of other games out with DSR. No vac ban.
