GTA V Cruise control with a controller.

Hey everyone. I recently downloaded the gta V realistic handling mod shotout to the modder ( http://www.moddb.com/mods/realistic-driving-v ). I was reading the readme and it was suggested to use a controller so you can set your car on cruise control with 20% throttle. I have never used a controller for a driving game (Used it for FIFA and PES). I have a generic controller (the ones u get cheap at a local store). I ran the game and calibrated it and when I started driving the car i noticed i can't steer it (i had to steer it with the analog thumb of the other controller as i have twin controllers in one USB). After that, i tried to cruise with the default control (RT) and i noticed that it has no cruise and it behaved the same way as a keyboard. I want to drive slow. Please help, thanks.
