Worst Customer Service - Rockstar's GTA Online Support
Hands down, the worst I've ever had from any Developer's Support system.

I've pasted some of my Support Tickets below - Take note of the dates. They go hand-in-hand with a ton of other bugs that unfortunately plague what could possibly be some of the best multiplayer out there.

However, the sheer amount of grinding and then hitting the sort of bugs as listed below have jaded me so much that I've let GTA on the console be for now.

I'm looking very much forward to the PC version - it is an incredible game. I am hoping like anything, though, that they've fixed these sorts of issues by the time it's released. If not, I think Online will be drowning with hackers and cheaters who have only done so out of frustration. I know I would've by now.

Hi Rockstar,

I hadn't played GTA V Online in a little while, so I recently logged on (it downloaded an update, something to do with Capture) and found that one of my small collection of fully upgraded cars was nowhere to be found. It was a fully upgraded Ratloader, which I bought with my stimulus package.

I don't play that often, so working up the amount of money to pay for another is well off. I just play the game online casually with some friends. I remember see a while back that you were helping players out with losses of vehicles for when people first having problems with the game, so I thought I'd best swing a message your way to see if anything can be done.

Some in-game cash to put me back on track would be much appreciated, as it's one of my favourite cars that I use and I really want another.

Thanks Rockstar,

- Blake

Dear Rockstar,

I didn't hear back from you in time for a games night I hosted over the weekend, during which time I bought 2 Shark Cards worth of money for cars I wished to purchase/upgrade, and it's safe to say I got ripped off twice during this process.

Both times, I was mid-customization when I ran out of money, and bought Shark Cards. Once I bought the cards, I was put back to outside Los Santos Customs with my car reset to before I started modifying it, the money spent modifying it lost, and the Shark Card money being the only money left in my account.

This is a major problem, especially as I spent real-world money on this.

As mentioned in the previous post, I haven't played in a while, and it's obvious GTA Online is still riddled with problems.

I am seeking reimbursement for these issues, and would appreciate in-game money being transferred into my GTA Online account, as I feel this is a severely unfair set of events that have impact both my wallet, and playing experience.

Money is so incredibly hard to make in the game, especially if you're not playing 24/7, and for players like me who are just casual, all GTA: O seems to do is take your online money and leave you with no choice but to buy Shark Cards. A really awful way to treat gamers, in my honest opinion.

Please help me with regards to sorting out this issue, as this weekend has really tested my patience with this game, and I feel like I've been robbed by one of my favourites.

Thanks Rockstar,

- Blake

Has this been looked at yet? Feeling really jaded playing, so I'm pretty keen getting this sorted, Rockstar.

I can attached screenshots of my receipts from Xbox Live confirmation my purchase of both Shark Cards if need be.

I lodged a formal complaint with Xbox Live with regards to this unresolved issue this morning.

Very, very poor customer service, Rockstar. I honestly expected better.

Hi DrFe3lgo0d,

You are receiving this automatic update because you have an open GTA Online ticket in the Rockstar Games Support system containing terms related to in-game money, cash, funds, or bank account.

If this ticket is not about the January 15 GTA Online maintenance to remove modded in-game currency, please respond to this ticket and we will address other issues individually.

The adjusted account balances are the result of removing counterfeit money generated by cheaters. If you already spent some or all of the counterfeit money you were given, you may find that your account balance after adjustment is lower than it was before you received the counterfeit money - this is correct as you will be allowed to keep the items you bought. For accounts that would have been left with little or no GTA$ after correction, we added sufficient funds to continue playing and enjoying GTA Online, taking into account whether a player intentionally created and distributed counterfeit GTA$ or received modded money innocently.

Any unspent Shark Card funds that you had in your account have not been touched. If you spent GTA$ after you purchased a Shark Card, you can keep the items you bought but you will not be reimbursed the Shark Card funds that you have already spent.

Please note that our Technical Support Agents are not able to adjust account funds on a case-by-case basis. For more answers about the GTA Online Maintenance, please see:

Rockstar Support,

Firstly, please refer to my previously submitted Ticket regarding my experience so far with GTA V's Online component so you can gather a rough understanding of the frustration I am feeling right now.

I started playing again (albeit, to find my in-game Bank Account totally drained) for the first time since the first issue I had (which you handled extremely poorly), and I just jumped in one of my saved cars that I've had since the very first night I logged into GTAO. It promptly got blown up by someone, naturally, and next thing I'm met with a reminder to purchase Mors Mutual Insurance.

That car, along with the others I have in my garage, have all been insured since the first time I ever took them all to a Custom Shop, and now magically, a car that I've sunk $100,000 into is gone forever because you game decided all of a sudden that it's not insured.

This is so frustrating, Rockstar. I'm a casual player, so to have something go wrong again that took a lot of time and effort is just really not cool.

That's twice now that I'm been royally screwed by your game, and I'm already pre-empting a repeat of your piss-poor customer service again, and that's even more disheartening, because I really enjoy this game.

I've lost so much money playing this game because it is a buggy mess, and you guys just won't listen.

Regards,

Blake

Yes. Even with all the latest updates.

I can't call Mors to get it back, and when I call the Mechanic, it's listed in the list as (Destroyed) and I can't press A on it.

My GTA Online experience has just been a total joke, guys. I had this game pre-ordered for almost a year, and it's just been one cop-out after another.

Hello DrFe3lgo0d,

If your car is missing please provide the following information so our Social Club Admin can investigate this:

-Console/Platform:
-PSN ID/Xbox Gamertag:
-Photos of the errors you get when calling your mechanic and Mors Mutual Insurance:

Also answering the following, will allow us to be better equipped in giving an accurate response.

1. What was the name of the specific vehicle?
2. Did it go missing from a garage, or did it go missing from the world?
3. Are these happening in association with other losses or are cars vanishing on their own?
4. Did you have insurance on your car? Did you get a message about your car going to the impound?
5. After it went missing, can you please let us know if you: A) looked for your PV (Personal Vehicle) icon on the map,, B) called Mors insurance, C) went to your personal menu and called for your car to be delivered, D) checked to the impound
We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. For the latest information related to GTA: Online status updates, please subscribe to:

Are you serious? You want all of that ♥♥♥♥ over an in-game car??

Xbox 360
DrFe3lgo0d
No, I'm not supplying photos - This is just ridiculous.

1.) Phoenix
2.) Another player blew it up
3.) My fully upgraded Ratloader disappeared from the garage
4.) Yes, for both. Had both since I pretty much started the game, and they've both been blown up and recovered via insurance many-a-time
5.) a.) It was blown up, and I was met with a message saying I should've insured it, b.) No answer, c.) Personal menu says it's Destroyed, d.) Not at the impound.

Rockstar, I am extremely pissed off at your awful customer service. I want you to look back through my history of tickets, and tell me that I have not had the raw end of the deal with your bug-laden online experience.

Now you're making me work for something that's a damn 2 minute Job. Absolutely pathetic.

Over your ♥♥♥♥. Seriously.

And over a month and a half after submitting this ticket.

I'd like to have my tickets escalated. You have turned this whole experience into a very unpleasant one.

I don't even play this game any more thanks to the issues I've had. It's a total grind for something that is riddled with crap like what I've listed off in my multiple tickets.

No problem. Just want to give folks a heads up on what you can expect if you run into anything playing Online.

Personally, I would avoiding purchasing their in-game Credit Cards. I only did so as I had credit on my XBL Account, which I don't really use anymore.

The Online portion of the game is extremely grindy. I especially felt this as a casual player playing it only really with friends. I took forever to get anywhere, and felt much like a F2P game as they made things pretty obvious that you should fork out extra cash for the Shark Cards.

But yeah, when stuff like the above happens, Rockstar Support just seems to not want anything to do with it. Online feels really slapped together.
seck Jul 1, 2014 @ 5:12pm
Do you understand after the most sucessful entertainment launch in history there are literally thousands upon thousands of other impatient users such as yourself "complaining". Rockstar web support are not the game code developers, they have better things to do than read countless amounts of spam you want to send them.

You sent the first message on Jan 11th:
"DrFe3lgo0d January 11, 2014 15:27"

Then you followed up only a day later with a ridiculous lie:
"DrFe3lgo0d January 12, 2014 19:20
Dear Rockstar,

I didn't hear back from you in time"

You kept replying to the same ticket over and over, this just adds to the problem Rockstar have to deal with. As you probably didn't even bother to read "Zendesk January 24, 2014 10:14" Rockstar were suffering from heavy issues thanks to modders and cheaters but you still thought somehow your supposedly lost cars were more important.

Instead of getting over it you continued to spam the ticket, which means more time has to be spent on your minor issue when you could have just gone back to GTA: O and earned the money back quicker than complaining.

The web support kindly asked you to submit as much information as you could, because they have no control over your player account but you abused them instead.

Rockstar have not issued a statement with any problems of GTA: Online vehicle losses, only single player back in October 2013 when it was fixed before GTA: O was even out. I've played GTA: O for hundreds of hours and I know a lot of other people who have played for hundreds of hours and never had this problem. He didn't insure his car and because he forgot and lost his money he'd rather blame R* for it.

Look, Secks, if you don't want to believe what I've written, that's your problem. I'm not here to argue on a Forum.

Insuring your vehicle is the first thing you do with any vehicle you want to keep. I got to level 30-something with both of tose vehicles (40-something with the Phoenix), having each lost and blown up countless times.

I made this Thread to just give people a general warning of what they can expect if they have to deal with Rockstar Support.

This is what's happened. If you've come here to argue just because it hasn't happened to yourself or anyone you know, or that Rockstar hasn't issued any statement, than I'm sorry, but out of the hundreds of thousands that play, I think that's a poor way to go about it.

I've contacted Rockstar support dozens of times about many things, 100% of the time I've had good feedback and I didn't spam them over and over. Being a part of the start of GTA: Online you would have got a $250,000+ stimulus package, so why are you complaining about $100,000 that you lost. You got more back.
Dr. Feelgood Jul 1, 2014 @ 7:09pm
Secks, you're mssing the point entirely, and are ignoring the parts that matter. Forget about it, mate.

The point is, why are you here complaining when you haven't done what they've asked you to do. Read their replies and go do what they said. They can't fix the problem if you don't give them all the information. So far you want them to give you $100,000 just because you said so, and because you're highly impatient you'd rather come on the Steam discussions and complain about them.

1. Fill out this properly:

2. Thoroughly read through this article:
http://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/200426246

3. WAIT for a reply, give them time to do so. It's their job, they will do it.
Rockstar technical support have no access or authority over your account, so spamming them will not get anything done quicker.

I have done everything they have asked. Read my posts, Secks. And as far as 'waiting' for a reply, I think those date stamps show that I've done my fair share of waiting.

You're spoiling for an argument that just isn't there, so stop trying, mate. I'm not having a bar of it.

No you haven't done everything they asked.

You failed to fill out all of what they asked. You didn't supply photo's so there is no possible way to prove you spent $100,000 on a car; which I doubt you did because there is no way you've unlocked every car modification, and you didn't complete 5. B) of the questions.

You say you've waited long enough but you fail to mention that you waited over 2 months to reply back to Rockstar when they asked you. So that's at least 10 weeks you "waited" for your own reply.
