Rockstar really screwed us

Waited just under year for the game to finally come to PC. It's all because they wanted their hands on as much money as they could. The game could have launched on PC shortly after it came out for consoles, but they wanted everyone with 360's and PS3's to buy the game. They knew that if they came out with the PC version around the same time that NO ONE WOULD BUY the console version. The old version looks like complete trash to the remake of the game. Now after it's all dying down they announced that it's coming out for next gen and pc. The hype train has started again. Not only did they grab money from everyone who originally bought it, but they are going to double up on everyone buying it for PS4 and Xbone. Don't believe me? The kicker is they made accounts transferrable, there is no reason to not buy it. Hell you're getting improved graphics, textures, more cars and civilians on the streets and many more things. The sad truth is that all of these so called "remastered" settings for the game were initially in the game to begin with. They just moved the sliders up. Rockstar ♥♥♥♥ed us and they ♥♥♥♥ed us hard. They wanted to sell 3 copies to each person and i'm sure they will. One for ps3/360 one for ps4/xbone and one for PC. Mark my words that PC will have some exclusives coming its way so that console/PC owners will buy both. This company is turning into EA. O well, they didn't fool me because i've had a PS3 for about 5 years now and haven't bought it. Waited patiently for PC version. Sorry Rockstar, but i'm only going to buy your game once.

TL;DR

Rockstar is milking the GTA hype train. All they care about is money just like EA. PC version could have come out very shortly after the console version with everything promised in the upcoming PC version.

of course they care about money , why shouldn't they , instead of releasing the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fps game every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ year ( i.e call of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ duty) , rockstar takes their time to release something different, but the thing here is that YOU have a choice , you don't have to buy it , nobody is forcing you , belive me every developer cares about money

That a poorly ported 360version could have come to PC last year...yah that's possible, but I hope for more. And waiting until the next-gen consoles have a decent user-base is perfectly valid I think, would have made no sense to release the game when there were only 2million nextgen consoles out there.

P.S: Don't know how you define Hype, but for me Hying something would mean the marketing department would go crazy and putting billboards everywhere and telling you how much better it will be and that you should buy it again, even if you already own it....they are doing no such thing, all they said so far is that it's coming....that's it, so what you think is hype, is just normal anticipation on your side (and mine).

Same for me, I have my xbox 360, but I knew it would eventually come to PC. But yeah, ♥♥♥♥ Rockstar, their games are awesome but they're slowly turning into another disgusting company.

The settings may well of been there in the last gen console version but those consoles would of had an absolute meltdown if those settings were turned up to max, but most PCs with reasonably current hardware should be able to handle those settings.

If you didn't notice almost all R* games always were 8-9 months late for Pc. I would rather wait for a game that actually works than play ♥♥♥♥♥♥ console port with breaking game bugs and ♥♥♥♥ from the very first day. Patience is the key to victory.

I think the reason is, they delayed it so much, when they heared the new consoles are releaseing they released the game on Xbox 360 and PS3 so they dont have to upgrade the textures what will mean to delay it anymore, and while its released they were making the textures HD etc.

If they wanted our money that bad it would already be open for pre-order on the Steam page. They don't. They've spent an extra $100m to make the PC version so shut your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mouth, you have no idea how programming works.

Moron, its started from GTA 3. Oh, and there was remastered version of GTA 3 and VC for Xbox original as well, with HD textures and resolution, so? Ther're like EA? Starting from 2001?
We all knew that this game will be on PC, we all knew it will have better graphics than the console one, its the same way starting from 1999, because PC version of GTA 2 had better graphics, whe are you screaming? Dont want it - dont buy it.

Oh, and yes, they've also released version of GTA 2 with better graphics on Dreamcast, so its nothing new, they've always been doing this, at least since GTA 2.

It's because they decided to release a next-gen version, and thought "Hey, we may as well hold back and release the PC version along with the Ps4 and Xbox One release."

Think of the alternative, it would've meant a PC port that looks only a little bit better than the last gen version. I seriously doubt all of these fancy new effects would have been put in just for PC-- as that's not how business works.
I'd rather wait for a next-gen version of the game.

I really don't understand why people start making hate threads on a game when something good is about to happen. Nobody is telling you to buy a second copy, and Rockstar has been doing a damn good job about the port not being ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Nobody is stealing the game from you. The only reason why you complain is because new platforms are getting the game in HD. It isn't even affecting you! And I am sure the graphics upgrade isn't a slider either. Why can't you be happy for anyone! And you are saying that Xbox 360 users and PS3 users were betrayed! No they are not, the reason the consoles don't have those new HD textures is because their hardware is limited. The new consoles have NEWER hardware, therefore allowing better graphics. Before you start taking ♥♥♥♥♥ on a game for giving newer platforms better graphics, do your homework. Not all people want top HD graphics, because if I had an Xbox 360, I would be fine with the low resolution graphics instead of paying more for a new console. The old platforms still have their fanbase, and if a person upgrades, so be it. It's like NES verses Xbox. Some people want to stick to their NES, but it can't live forever. If it does, great! Someone upgrading to Xbox? Great, a new fanbase is here! Seriously, take your argument somewhere else.

Because misery loves company, and the world, especially in the gaming industry, is filled with greedy millenials with elitist complexes that think the world owes them a living. This is a theme in GTA V, and here are the people that have played it, but they overlooked those themes thinking it did not have anything to do with them. That's how big Mr. "nsaine's" ego is. He thinks Rockstar owes him for buying their product, plain and simple. This isn't even about it coming to PC, it's about the lack of regonition on their behalf.

I was bored of gta after san andreas. They need to man up and make more unique games. I think indie games are the way fowards now. Sure most are ♥♥♥♥ at the mo but support the sudios now and maybe we will get some real gems of games like the good old days with bullfrog and before blizzard sold out to activision. All gta games are as similar as the cod and battlefield franchise oh and assasins creed.

I have been a PC convert for the past 2 years because having the best graphical version of a game is important to me. I don't care about being the first to get a game and i am not a big online player.....yet. I am a huge open world fan and GTA V is considered one of , if not the best open world to date so ♥♥♥♥ YEAH! i'm hyped. I also waited patiently for the PC version. If you don't want to buy more than one copy wait or don't complain it was your choice. I also pre purchased the Witcher 3. I normally am patient and wait for games to be deeply discounted but i have a soft spot for top of the genre open world games!
