Any way to completely disable the population?
Anyone know a way to have 0 people and 0 cars in singleplayer? Just looking to drive my Mustang around at full speed on a road track and not have to worry about anyone on the road.

I dont think you can tone down the traffic though.

:edit:
Unless population density is an All-In-One solution for traffic and Pedestrians.

If so, Just nudge that slider all the way to the left.

Yeah I had those all the way down. Mostly trying to look for a mod so I don't have to deal with the traffic when using the road as a track

There is a "no traffic" mod on a gta-mods site, but it will almost always crash the game when driving at speeds over 120mph, maybe because of the way the game spawns distant cars. Might be something to try if you're willing to chance it.

Could you link me to the one you're talking about? I tried one of the no traffic mods you use with OpenIV and there was still traffic :(

www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/no-traffic This is the one I tried. There were no cars, but it crashed every time I drove fast.

Alright, I'm going to try it out right now and see :P

Works fine for me :D
Thanks!

There is a bit of FPS drop in the city, but once you get on the highway, there isn't any lag and I was going top speed without crashing

I take that back.
It crashes whenever you get a wanted level and the police can't find you

:( Sorry...

The only way I've seen so far to disable the population entirely without modding the game in any way, shape or form is the occasional time where disabling traffic in online races also disables population by accident. And I don't know of any mods to manipulate such details, let alone any mods for that matter as I am still experimenting with my bone stock copy before adding anything to it.

Just be careful with them though. My little brother has messed his game up twice now from forgetting files...it would be a good idea to find a free recording program and set it up to take screenshots of every step of the procedure that you perform when installing and/or changing mods just to help troubleshooting down the road.

thats why you use openIV.asi with mod folder... look it up on openIV forum or google it

like earthquake said, I use openIV.asi and a mod folder. That way if something corrupts, there's a backup and I can disable the ASI loaders to play online without the mods.

ill search for those menus and see if they have those options ;)
