Does story mode need to be complete for mods to work?
Does it? Just wondering if I should finish the whole game first, because I want them mods! :P

If you use mods, you'll get banned from Online. My advice is don't.

You will only get banned if you use them online. I am talking about singe player only

If you don't want to be banned from online don't use mods.

the obvious answer is no.

I've modeed singleplayer countless of times and didn't get banned, stop spreading bs.
And these that tell you that they got banned for using singleplayer mods are lying. Simple as that.

wheres the proof of you using the modded singleplayer content without getting banned?

the same applies to both sides.

From the "rock hard no for modding" from Rockstar, I wouldnt be surprised that even "non-hostile" singleplayer modding would get you banned.

oh btw, around 90% who actually use mods just play the cracked versions SP and mod that one. not the real version, just to be sure not be banned from online.

its almost as if the community has been scamed into thinking mods are evil. SP mods should never get you a ban, period. as soon as you take those mods online, you take your chances of being banned, thats why you dont click the online buttons. i have a slave harddrive, and if i were so inclined to play story mode again, id install to it and run all the mods i want, without fear.
Its very cut and dry. People just need to take a moment, think about it, and stop spreading bushfires.

It's not that hard to safely mod singleplayer and not "accidentaly" going online like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moron, and "forgetting" that you've modded your game, Rockstar stated countless of times that they support singleplayer modding. And how should provide proof? Post my entire email log with R*? lolk. And I don't condone piracy

its not piracy if you already own the game.

For some mods it will be best that you completed the game already; so as not to activate "Story" while in mod. However, that depends on what mods u are referring to. If something like LSPD:FR then yes you want a completed game. You can just download a 100% saved game and then use that saved game as a means of loading up into story and starting your mod; such as going on duty in LSPD and what not.

Not if u are just modding cars, textures, sounds; things of that sort then usually no; starting or freshly playing story mode should be fine.

For modding Single Player what you will want to do is make another copy of your game and then rename the backup copy. Then switch copies as u need to (one copy for un-modded SP & MP) and one copy for modded SP). On the modded SP; never allow it to go into "Online". There are safe work-arounds to do that so u can be assured of mods working without any possible MP effect.

Then when u want to go into Online Play; u exit your modded SP version of the game, rename the game folder to your other backup one, then go into Online Play.

Not for Story Mode stuff.

And no you can apply mods and a good trainer and start a new game for Story. However make sure you disable BE in the Rockstar Launcher before hand
