The trolls! or how almost every freemode challenge is ruined

It's called teaming.

If I'm playing a challenge like King of the Castle, and I'm playing against 4-5 guys, it's almost impossible to win. I've had about 4 arguments where a bunch of idiot kids who can't win any other way tell me how ganging and gaming the rules is "not cheating". It's really annoying because it makes it impossible to win the challenges.

What I mean is, 4-5 guys all coordinating together. They agree to let one guy win, all team up in every challenge they can play. Then the whole session says "Just find another session if you're gonna ♥♥♥♥♥, you're butthurt" etc. etc. etc. However, every session is like that. Getting sick of this lame crap.

Well, nowhere in the "rules" does it say that teaming up is not allowed. Is it a ♥♥♥♥ move? Eh, I guess. Cheating? No. Not something I would get upset about; there are plenty of other challenges that aren't affected by people teaming up.

Easily over 80% of challenges can be ruined this way.

In the "who can drive the longest in reverse without crashing" challenge, players will have their friend drive around hitting everyone else's cars. Since you're drivin in reverse, you can't really go fast enough to avoid them.

Just like you, I've had players defend the "freedom" to ruin the intended purpose of the games like that. The "freedom" of a larger group to ruin the fun of everyone else who wants to play. Is it cheating? Clearly.

People who say this isn't cheating are like folks who would play online poker with friends planted at their table and talk to them online about what their hands are. Is that cheating? If you think not, you need your head examined... or just to reevaluate the way your parents raised you heh.

Cheating would be, if one of them was using mods and they blew up every other car except their friend's. Also, using the poker analogy is ridiculous, as there is nothing of value at stake in this game. I would really love to hear your idea of how to prevent people from playing with friends online. I'm sure it would be very popular.

Yeah, it sucks, but I'd imagine that everyone who's played GTA Online so far knows everything is fair game. I mean, this is a game that lets you steal what you want, kill anyone you feel like, it's pretty much an online game that gives you the freedom to play dirty. I mean, yeah...it brings out the troll in a lot of people, but at least you can exact revenge without penalty :P.

If you were running a race, and one of the players just tried to grab you and trip you so his friend could win.... news flash! That's cheating. That money involved has nothing to do with whether something is cheating.

Exactly what AvidExpert said. If they'd wanted a challenge that was "everyone gang up and kill each other" that's what they would have done. Instead, they tried to make more variety and interesting stuff, and it's being ruined by players who just want to do the same lame crap every time.

I'd say that it's not cheating, especially when you consider that they actually tell you to team up with other players for these in a few of the loading screens.

It certainly is annoything though if it's basically only you vs 5 other people.

When king of the castle happens i never go for it. I just stay in the outskirts in my zentoro and kill people with my AP Pistol.

I really only do challenges in which no one has much reason to hunt others down. Though I will play hunt the beast with my savage.

It would be better if they let you use passive mode for events like drive the longest without crashing and fastest speed. There's no reason to attack other players and it seems a fair trade that if you go into a mode that keeps them from interferring with you that you can't interfere with them either.
