Gta 5 Crashes on Torture Mission when Trevor is selecting torture tool!

Does anyone know the solution to this?? It is a big problem because I can't progress in the story.

Have you tried verifying the game cache? Right click on the game in your steam library --> Properties --> Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

Note: This might take a while depending on your connection speed.

Yes I am doing it now thank you for the suggestion and I am hoping this works!

Usually, this means your cpu is too weak and bottlenecked (unlikely 10%), or your gpu bottlenecked (30%-40% chance of happening), and/or your experiencing memory leak at that exact spot and need more ram to 'overpower' or progress further (common cause when you only have one stick of ram - memory leaks occur often in this game - better to have at least 2 sticks of ram at 16gb).

The thing is, this is the only place it crashes everytime. It is fine with side missions and other main story missions, if they do crash I can just replay them and they work, but this one just keeps crashing. I know I am not the only one with this problem.

I had to fail the mission 6 times, 3 to skip the first part, 3 to skip the next. You have to skip the parts where you drive as Micheal. I also had to skip a couple of cutscenes such as the one right after the first torture and the one after that. It is all about trial and error find out what makes it not crash. Its weird like that were if you skip or don't skip a certain cutscene it crashes. It took me a couple of hours and I hope what I said helped!

Fail the mission 3 times the first time Michael looks down the scope, then skip it. Finish the mission. I did this in safe mode, might work in regular, didn't test it.
