Trojan found in socialclubhelper.exe in GTA 5 Legacy
I thought Steam games weren't supposed to have viruses. I thought they were supposed to be scanned prior to making them available for sale. Yet when I ran the GTA5 legacy for the first time since it "upgraded" my original GTA 5 game, my AV flashed the message that it had found a trojan in socialclubhelper.exe, which it blocked from execution.

So, what's the fix here? If Rockstar is shipping viruses now, I don't think their technical support will be willing to help me. Is Steam support listening and willing to do something about this debacle?

He is right. That happens once in a while to me as well.
If you're that concerned, you can add the IP to the trusted sites in your firewall settings.

Surprisingly, your suggestion worked. No issues after restoring the file and verifying the integrity of the install (and scanning the file again with my AV). Thanks, I've never had this happen before.
