gta 5 wont launch since latest update with battle eye

Removed dinput8.dll as told. Verified games files. Now working. -.-;;



Need more info than that. Errors? What?

Attempting to play modded storymode?
Open R* launcher, settings, uncheck battleye or use -nobattleye in launch options.

Some other error? Problems with dinput.dll ? Above should bypass that.
Else - remove the storymode mods.
Still have to wait for updates to scripthookv, or downgrade if wanting that.

Steamdeck/proton/linux? Ya.....

Yep, if it is there because of storymode mods - you can disable battleye like above.
Else, you can remove them.

The game had a version update so mods are still broken (as with nearly every game update), and you'll need to wait, downgrade to earlier version, or backup your files before an update so you can downgrade yourself.

Downgrade files to 1.0.3274.0 if needed -
(or hit up youtube, google, reddit, whatever for.. basically the same/reliable/whateer) -

That file is not a vanilla game file so...

Depends why the dinput8.dll file is there.... The scripthookv version of that file would cause gtao to throw altered version errors. It had to be removed.

If it is there due to some other graphical mod, or input related thing... yea.

now its saying its not even located in my gta 5 directory

Show all file extensions, show hidden files.. etc. If it is finding the file there.. I'd start there. If you've 'deleted' it and it is in the recycle bin you can try removing it from there too.

Time to post a screenshot of your whole game folder with hidden/system files showing. I'd do it 'after' you verified your game files through steam though.

If you're trying to run gta5.exe by itself - don't bother.

edit - friend/chat, verified files, etc - working.
