Please help - Stuck in mod shop at start of gta online

I picked out my first car and took it to the mod shop, per mission instructions, and equipped tracker and full coverage. Now it will not let me exit the shop. When I press escape it just makes a sound and nothing happens.

Has anyone heard of this? Can anyone please help? I have tried restarting GTA and doing the mission again and the same thing happened. I took the time to find the car I want to start with and it looks like there's a big glitch in the game.

I just noticed the same thing happens in single player.. Basically the exit/confirm button cant be pressed with the mouse for some reason.. Any ideas?

I've searched and searched online.. Cant even find a mention of this problem.. Looks like bread guy may actually be right. That's too bad, I was looking forward to this game and it just looks so great with maxed out settings.

Esc then it ask you if you want to leave the shop? end you press enter.. or is the first mission screwed up after the update?

JUST PRESS ENTER WHEN IT ASKS YOU IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE THE SHOP

It wouldn't even let me get to the confirm button. When I press escape it just makes the sound and doesn't to go ask me to confirm or anything. It's the first mission outside of the online tutorial I think, where you pick out your first car.

edit: In other words it never asks me if i want to leave

2nd edit: Also I did notice that esc works the first time in single player, so I can in fact use enter to leave like Volve said, but I can't get to that point in Online for some reason.. The button flickers as I hold my mouse over it.. Weird.

Did you insure the car, as per the mission instructions?

Yes I got it fully insured.. I was wondering if maybe I was supposed to buy an engine or something and just missed that in the instructions, but when I restarted the game and tried again I was sure to read carefully and it is just the tracker and full coverage which I did get

maybe something is broken in the tutorial through the dlc.

Yeah, do what Crustie says, broken by the dlc seems like the most likely thing to be happening right now. At any rate, good luck.

Thanks for all the responses. I wanted to start over, but I decided to go ahead and import my PS4 save data as a workaround.
