maybe one of the reasons why take2 finally decided to buy the cfx(fivem) company, while they have shown over these 10 years that they successfully created a competitive business model
https://fivem.net/server-hosting
there you go are you happy now, pay to get your own server, than rent the server slots to players

i hope you have enough high quality content creator to attract potential subscribers,
but kids are stupdid and easy to milk, while the competition is fierce and everyone has the same dream
Rockstar already makes money on Shark Cards and game sales after an entire decade. Applying a subscription access to this game would kill it in a heartbeat for the average gamer. Whale gamers would be the last ones actively playing the game. Rockstar can already do better. They just choose not to because people like yourself are willing to throw money at them regardless of how lazy and careless they are with their games, players and communities.
I guess the old saying, "You'll own nothing and be happy." is becoming more true even in video gaming communities. People actually want to have nothing and pay subscription / access fees to everything they like to use or do online. GTAO could shut down anytime and everything earned online is gone forever. That day is nearing. It's only a matter of when. A person might as well set their money on fire and watch it burn because everything spent on GTAO will have been for nothing in the end other than some memories that fade with time.
It's honestly quite impressive, sad and disturbing from a psychology perspective, to see how easily video game companies have successfully manipulated people into thinking how OP is.

The younger generations are so brainwashed into thinking they need to constantly spend money for everything. They actually think it's a good idea for a scam like GTA online to require a subscription fee in order for them to get scammed.
Even more ridiculous, they think that Rockstar getting more money from subscriptions would somehow magically give them the resources they never had before in order to fix the game.
Rockstar has made enough money to create and release three 100+ hour single player DLC's for free while at the same time fixing online completely, and it would only cost them 0.02% of their profit to do so.
