Loading Screens

Why do the loading screens take so long to load? I have a direct connection and it still takes several minutes to load into rooms and missions
:Edit: Should of said for online. I assumed it was cheaters and modders killing the load times

poor cpu gpu virtual drive ram


start game on low or off settings, bare minimum graphics, 800x600 window borderless

start flow startup option as story mode load

once the story mode starts in single player, try again what you did

if it works, each one of the options you can flick on one by one

if you're in gta online, the long load screens into rooms are because you are in a lobby session with chinese cheaters and they have this way of making everyone slow down to dialup

commies really hate USA DSL lmaooo im not even joking its bizarre rstar made us all peer to peer networks

I am using Gta Online, Ill have to go through the settings and maybe thatll help it. Thanks for the info

i remember that somebody said that gta5 and ol's netcode or other ♥♥♥♥ is very looooooooooooong so it take more time to run it,im not a coding guy so im not too sure

♥♥♥♥♥♥ modders and/or ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Rockstar developers (they are getting so much money out of their games - why can't they hire decent developers for once?). Hard to say. Easy to say though is that this is tied to the number of people in the lobby/people concurrently playing.

If you get stuck on the loading screen (i.e. loading forever) it helps to use the old hack for solo-ing in public lobbies (no longer needed since Rockstar introduced private lobbies) to reconnect which should load you into an empty lobby.
To do this you need to open the Resource Monitor from the Task Manager, locate the GTAV entry, suspend it for some 10 seconds and then resume it again.
If this does not help, restart the game. This sucks but hey, it's a Rockstar game.

because rockstar uses peer 2 peer connections and a multi billion dollar company somehow cant afford to host their own servers. they are also too cheap to hire dave and bill to optimize the game and instead spend all their money hiring rebecca and tanesha to think about ways to bring in new players for gta 6 and aiden fresh out of high school because he's ok with getting paid half the price of competent employees

That makes a lot of sense now you say it. Anytime im solo its pretty fast, but a full server? Not in this lifetime lol

yea it has to be that. because I only play solo in invite only lobbies, and I've never had any problems with load times

has nothing to do with your pc specs but internet connection
your internet connection is unstable by rockstar's standard
or
u are connected to bunch of players with their vpns
