hackers could hack into your rockstar account or even your computer

I recently contacted Rockstar support because of problems with hackers artificially increasing player levels. I wanted my real level to appear rather than a false high lvl number for the consistency of my account. (I meet a lot of high lvl players who know nothing about GTA online and playing with them is a pain).


I took the opportunity to question rockstar that the many topics on the fact that hackers would have a solution to access your account rockstar see potentially your PC (many topics are on Reddit too)


Rockstar decided to stop answering me as soon as I asked this question, so I deduce that playing GTA online is potentially dangerous.


Do you have any experience of this?

That doesn't sound good. I just bought the game. I hope that wasn't a mistake. Cheaters and hackers destroy games. It would be a shame if the money was wasted again, because playing with cheaters is pointless.

hm i am highly doubtful that you had a conversation with literally anyone from rstar....... they are fully arms lengths with us....... laugh at my smol pp but i wanted to apply to be an admin for gta online so i could ban cheaters and over the top griefers for $10 per hour and they never would get back to me and i couldn't really find a real email for employment with rockstar.. i didnt try very hard........ and most people know me as the biggest tryhard on the server uwu

assuming rockstar actually contacted with you, the only time they will ever really talk is to discuss shark card issues

Hey it is me Bob, I just hac.. burrowed a PC from this guy I met some time ago in gta online while he is in a bathroom. Nah, there is no hacker problems in this game, feel free to play. Also this comment will autodelete in a day or so.

oh, regarding remote access destroying your pc, i am extremely doubtful they could unless they are like that blue haired guy on youtube who attacks scammers from india over the telephone lines.. that dude is fully like bravo six going dark lmao

in order for someone to access your pc, they need to have you install a remote proxy and give permission to access it from outside

if you feel unsafe you can always disable BROWNEYE anticheat and it wont let you go online, just story mode only and director mode, or even play with the wifi off

if you play in "invite only sessions" the lobby will be just you and i have never ever met even once a little bit someone who could hack beyond that wall. you will be safe playing alone and you can add some friends and bring them into your private restricted lobby session..

Fwiw, the problem with battleye, specifically, is that its a rootkit.

If exploited, malware can be embedded into your bios, or various firmware.

If compromised, you're not getting rid of the malware. Your system is ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Throw the whole system out.

I'm surprised gta 5 is still hitting 100k mark daily players with steam alone considering how much of a hacking cesspit it is. Red dead 2 is also a hackers paradise. I'm not sure why anyone plays these games anymore.

I now no longer play GTA-V online simply because of all of the script kiddies, the modders, hackers, and the sub-intelligent malbots (my name for the malicious idiots who have nothing better to do with their time but infesting a video game for the sake of their own sick and delusional amusement) whose goal in life is to imagine that their little bags of hacks and mods makes them a video game player!

Support regularly responds to in-game problems. They reset my lvl after my first encounter with hackers.
