Rockstar long story short gave us the Linux gamers the finger, kicked us in the balls, pissed in our faces and laughed at us while watching us roll around on the ground in pain. They took the money and ran.
The sickening part is they know the Linux gamers aren't the mass of the cheaters. They know this. They have server logs for days. Linux gamers are the least of any threat to the gaming sphere in GTAO. Rockstar is just sadistic and hostile toward Linux gamers. When I say Linux gamers, that also includes the Steam Deck gamers.
All we want to do is have some fun by majority. Drift, drive, crash, shoot NPC police, etc. Yes, some people will cheat, but it is by far lesser of a problem than the people cheating on Windows.
The decision was hostile against Linux, intentionally, based on perceptions of situations that did not exist. Yes, some cheated on Linux, but not by majority. Linux gamers by mass were not cheating. Rockstar knows it. We know it. But, there's not a fricking thing we can do about it.
