Bought GTA V on Steam. Now Rockstar Games asks me to activate the game with a key I don't have. What should be done here?

The key is not showing up if you rightclick gtav in steam, manage, cd-key? I'd restart steam, or give it a couple minutes. This link/key activation is usually automatic. (though there could be other problems, like previously linked steam account due to other R* games, attempting to use the incorrect social club account, server issues - don't think lack of admin/perms interferes --- but I wouldn't be surprised anymore)

And of course if it doesn't resolve itself in a few minutes -

And I don't even remember using the CD KEY at all. Bought the game, downloaded, installed, launched.

Thanks for you reply. I just tried to activate the game with the code in steam, manage, cd-key like you said but it says that the key is already in use.

I looked into my account and the game is listed. My steam account is also linked to my rockstar games account so that shouldn't be a problem.

I bought the game yesterday and since the beginning I can't play because rockstar asks me to activate the game. The procedure is as follows: I start the game and then a window opens that says activation required and I need to type in a code.

It should also be noted I have a second rockstar games account with GTA V already in it. I don't know. Is it normal that you have to activate it again in the Rockstar Games Launcher?
