Problems with ScriptHook V. critical error unknown version

Just downloaded the latest version of ScriptHook V (1.0.3258.0) and put all the files in my GTA 5 directory, but I still get the critical error for an unknown version of ScriptHook even tho the version I have is on the list of the supported version shown on the error message.

I don't really know how to fix this right now.

You don't fix it. The 'latest' version is not compatible with the game update on July 17th. Wait for scripthookv to be updated, or downgrade your game. You can get the old .exe from a friend, or find someone that uploaded it online. One example -

A couple times yeah but I think I found the solution to my problem. You can tell me if I'm wrong.

From the GTA 5 wiki, it appears that a patch was released 2 days ago on the 17th of July which is something I didn't know at first because I only bought GTA 5 on PC yesterday. So I'm guessing that I'll need to wait for an updated version of ScriptHook before I can get modding.

I am not 100% sure but I see no other explanation at the moment.
