They are awake. For 10y gta is the best selling game. They DON'T care about cheaters. They will ban some...eventualy. What i know that there are mod menus that also indicate what players in session are cheating and why. considering that, R* has the same abilities. Conclusion: THEY DON'T GIVE A FLYING F***!

The only cheaters that get banned are the ones giving people money. If they detect money drops they'll just close that lobby and ban the account doing it. Other than losing out on sharkcard sales, they don't give a f*ck.

Not entirely true , money loops are in menus and so are giving casino chips and jackbots to people. No lobby gets closed down. It is a matter what method is used to do so .

I had a lobby get closed because a modder was giving people casino tokens. Closed after about 10 minutes. He was initially doing some type of money loop but stopped when the server recognized it as invalid transactions. Switched to casino chips and then the server was closed. They're cracking down on alternate methods as they are discovered.

What happened was the lobby was crashed by another modder , since they can see money being handed out to others and get notified by it. Rockstar is not cracking down on nothing. And especially after +11 years of it.

Dont listen this guy. Just focus on GTA 6 at this point.

They have no monetary incentive to stop cheaters from playing.

All they care about is money, and facts are that they designed the game to be cheater friendly. One of the main benefits to doing this is that it allows them to artificially increase game sales right before a quarterly report by tossing out a ban wave. A large percentage of the cheaters who get banned wind up buying a new copy to continue cheating. In addition there's another percentage of banned cheaters who go onto forums and complain about being falsely banned, which in turn leads other people who haven't bought the game yet to pick it up because they think that Rockstar is actually trying to stop cheating.

To take it a step further, there's a very good chance that some of the cheat menus you have to pay for, are likely created and sold by Rockstar developers themselves.

If they use p2p servers (and they will) gta 6 will be a hackfest just like this, and I agree that they don't give a crap cause it does make them more money so they are gonna do it all over again and milk that game for 10+yrs. Why should a company change a recipe that clearly works. Play solo, with friends, or single player or get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with by cheaters - those are our options. :(

This is why i play offline games. I feel bad for online gamers nowdays when every game is hacked to hell and almost nothing can be done about it.

Mhm. A UC forum thread about a year ago listed some of the "so-called" anti-cheat "tools" R* was using and showed the listed of flags brought up cheaters were using the most, a kind of weird telemetry data logging the most used scripts and menus. R* were picking and choosing who to ban via this metric.

Obvious ones were money and teleporting, alongside business manipulation (buys and sells), god modes and no wanted. There were also other less offensive telemetry flags, such as business safe manipulation, no peds/cars, account stat editing and mission unlocks.

Some of the latter are technically seen as a grey area in their eyes as it doesn't affect them from a monetary standpoint. Older accounts are less likely to be looked into due to their age, while fresh accounts are handed the harshest punishment (IE permaban) even if the report is external (from a player) or a false/positive (glitch/exploit).

It was noted that "repeated offences" were brought up by the system and flagged for ban. Majority of paids evaded this since they include scripts to clear an account's bad standing, freemiums of course don't and thus a swathe of them get purged.

Like you say though, it perpetuates the cycle of interest, purchase and monetization. I'm not sure if the telemetry is still within the game's coding. It was suggested it got stripped out during the invite-only invading players debacle a few months back.
