Did they fix the replay glitch?

I tried to do the cayo replay glitch but it didn't work so was I just too slow or did they fix it?

Havent done it in a while, so not sure. Those glitches have always been tricky if you're paying yourself out, however.

Swap with a buddy. (Might have to look into the fixes too. OG heists were patched years ago, although the work around is ezpz. If cayo seen a similar patch, the fix would likely be identical.)

tmk these glitches can't be fixed without accounting for possible valid loss of internet.. since a player should not be penalized because their ISP can't hold a connection, the heists will always be saved until completed..

Having said that, R* can relocate where the trigger for the updating of this data is performed. For example, on Cayo and Doomsday Act 2, a player needs to wait till the cutscene initiates, but must DC before the mission passed screen is dropped.. Timing it right will pay out the rewards and save the setup preps that were previously completed. However, Casino's point of disconnect has to be made at a transition before the payout is even made.. so host gets nothing, but participating players can still be rewarded..

My guess is you were just too slow or had a case of lag cause a hiccup the one time.. it's less likely that R* relocated where the end event is triggered from.. but if they did move the trigger, they probably relocated it to somewhere that the disconnecting player won't get paid out (like Casino).

I believe the sync timing has changed, as you suggested - In Cayo, I disconnect right after the handover to the associate but before the Mission Passed display as before, and I no longer get paid. I've experimented with it a little since then but never found a point where I get paid but the finale is still replayable.

when you come back after the disconnect:

if your preps are saved, you disconnected past the point..
if your preps are saved, you disconnected too soon..

if you're disconnecting past the point and still not getting paid, there's no hope..

I've found a few videos posted since the change that says it's now right as the associate takes his last step and the screen changes (so just as "Processing Transaction" first appears, not when it disappears). I'll try that over the weekend.

The processing transaction is where the money is saved to your account.. so I'm suspecting if you have success with saving the prep, you likely will have missed the payout.. similar to the casino heist. Means you can't use the glitch/exploit for your own gains.. but you can still help others with it..

I had Diamond targets in the Casino saved for quite a while, gave a few players 85% of the cut we could take, but good players worthy and appreciative of the help are so far and few in between I just completed the heist 50/50 with a friend a couple weeks ago..

Don't get me wrong, I'm not looking to have my arse kissed or be treated like I'm a glorious savior.. I'd be happy to see excitement over gratitude.. but what I mean are the players that are just impatient, rude, selfish, etc.. like I'm doing them a favor cutting them 85% of my diamond heist and all they can ask is what my problem is when the game is throwing me BS from Murphy's bag of exceptions..
