Constantly crashing

hello,i installed GTA after a while and im constantly crashing after playing for a while,everytime i load the game it im gonna crash while i play it,i got decent pc 4070 i5 13600k...any tips

Yo I feel you man , Gta 5 is a ram intensive game , doesn't matter if u own 4070 . The moment you load in the game slowly starts to load the whole map , the farer u go the more laggy it will get as its loading the world and using your ram . I hope you have at least 16gigs of ram? or maybe get a new ram .

also it runs on SSD,it couldnt be hardware issue since i play a lot of games and i dont have the issue but with the GTA...

now google intels controversity about 13th and 14th gen chips crashing and enjoy your masterpiece

always same ♥♥♥♥ one gen it is amd cursed by faulty design and next gen it hits the other side but you can blame it on R* or microsoft too who put enough broken code in their software to cause extra trouble

its not your system, i have 4080 and have never had issues until the most recent update. game just crashes and crashes upon loading in. i used to run everything on max with direct x 11 and all the experimental features but now not even dx10 and par settings work. i think its a network issue they need to resolve. also running into WAY more modders lately

uh well,i built my pc last year,so so far so good as i mentoined above.Im aware of the last gen crashes and what not but that didnt happened to me not even once,i picked every part carefully to avoid any bottlenecks etc but im guessing its not about the crashes but the game

yeah i used to run everything maxed with constant 100 fps or so,and yesterday i launch the game with same settings and boom 30 fps smh xD
Also i do agree with the modders,in every session i join there is at least 1 of them!!

I played the game on really bad laptop (20 fps, lowest settings, 720p) and it wasnt crashing. I thing modders are crashing you in GTA online. If not, than try repair the game or reinstall it.

If no other games like that are crashing on yer pc, chances are rockstar broke somehing with the latest patch rolled out. Or some POS modders using menus to grief are crashing your game. As to the people who do that with menus just to grief others i hope they get ass cancer.

yeah either it could be on the rockstar side,which im 99% sure but also could be the modders,i repaired the game but still the same issue.I wouldnt reinstall it but at the end i might try doing that

I don't have GTA on this account but I am too lazy to switch, my game just freezes after like 5-10 minutes, I have over 600 hours on this game and I literally never experienced this even on PCs that were a lot worst (even with a lot of graphic mods). I think it's a update issue because it wasn't happening before the last few updates. Literally no other games crash on my PC.

I always had crashes on all my computer with this gta V (story online or invite session doesnt matter) yesteday I crashed on that game and the last of us and I have an rtx 4090 with 64 gig ram and I9 13900k ! ! Took 2 hours to crash on last of us and gta v i crash after 5 hours each time ! ! I decided the atomic bomb solution I reset the whole pc personnal files too ! ! I'm going to test now if there was something wrong on windows cause the hardware looks ok ran temp (fumark), mem check, scanned hardrives with hdtune by the tech everything is ok for the hardware so I highly doubt theses crashes are hardware related, sur the new gens cpu seems to have farbric issues but anyways it is one of my last resort try cause I won't mess with the bios (Bios updated too)

To be honest tho the new Intel CPUS are kinda really weird so it might have to do with that (maybe related to your ram?), hope you can get that situated though, I'd prefer playing with lower fps compared to consistently crashing it's really annoying lmao.

I also noticed that crash is inevitable and guaranteed once i go into my clubhouse lols

I think the crashes are probably caused by the latest update.

Update
FYI it seems that i fixed the issue by downgrading from DirectX11 to DX10.1 and i haven't crashed since then.
I recommenr doing the same if you are crashing aswell,hope it helps!
