why crashes the game when im press f4 to open the script hook v menu

Hi
everytime i hit the f4 button to load the script hook menu it crashes the game idk why i got the latest version of scripthookv but the game still crashes can anyone help please?

are you able to change your shortcut key? Alt-F4 closes any active application. So if winblows thinks your Alt key is depressed for any reason (or you have a sticky key or something holding it down), you could just be closing the game.

If you can set the shortcut key to something other than F4, you can at least isolate and determine if it's a stuck alt issue, or something with script hook.. Unless you have logs that give you specific reason to suspect it is script hook..

edit - people coming here after December 2024 - you got shv, you got outdated mods, corrupt 'mods' folder, conflicting mods, and on and on. Eliminate mods. Rename dinput8, rename 'mods' to 'mods'-old - rule out the mods. Many things have changed since this thread was created.

Agreed, GTA 4 had this behavior if the scripthook was the wrong version of the trainer was out of date. I'd try looking for another mod menu to use, in singleplayer only, of course.
