imagine rdr2 graphics and engine in gta 6 but improved
idc about gta 6 but i feel like the tech of it is gonna be so insanely cool to explore that even the newest gpu would be like how crysis was for its time for its era.

idc if anyone cares about the story cause i always liked the world building from rockstar games.

all their games have amazing worlds to explore and this might be a amazing one.

i wonder if they gonna add mini games like yakuza or who knows what there is gonna be to offer.

after rdr2 the hopes are really high tho

You do know the people responsible for GTA and RDR being so good are no longer at Rockstar games right?

RDR2 was massively rushed, with huge portions of the single player story cut out so they could instead focus on low quality online content.

Combine that with social club being some of the most anti consumer DRM in the industry that will prevent you from being able to play the game if you don't have an internet connection. (You can play in "offline mode" but it won't work unless it connects to the internet first to "verify purchase")

So far GTA 6 just looks like a cheaply made, rushed, single player dlc for GTA V that they're going to call a "new game" and charge full price for. There's nothing in the trailer that makes the game look good or interesting in any way.

Can't say of RDRs because haven't played them, but I do not have high hopes of GTA6. They try to deliver to as many people as possible, so the game will be watered and dumbed down online sandbox, just a massive time sink with awful ways to make money. A bit like GTA5 but worse in every way. You can get better shooting in any shooter game and you can get better racing in any racing game. At start some co-op missions might be good, but later people want to do solo content because teaming will just be so bad overall.

The graphics will be great, and as an sandbox it will be a brainless time killer, best played without paying anything and with big moderation.

Im sorry but saying GTA6 is cheaply made is just either downright retarded or widely ignorant, the amount of NPCs,cars and LOD is simply crashing RDR2

Improved would mean better optimized. I doubt about it, it cost time and money and will be complicated...

Adding RT on a 2015 game ? Cyberpunk or RDR2 without RT are way better.
And RT is overrated, fps killer, native 4K is better imao.
Spoiler PS5 can't do native 4K, it's upscaled...

Graphics, graphics, graphics ...
The heck with that, I expect AT LEAST RDR2 game-play mechanics in the next GTA, if I can't toss the sorry ass NPC drivers over my shoulder and take em' out in a boat and toss them to the Sharks ... no matter what, the game will not be an improvement in my book.

even Ubisoft is better than Rockstar
just look at Watch Dogs Legion
an open world game released 2020 with ray tracing, hair physics, cloth physics and way better character models and way higher resolution textures

RDR2 engine and graphics is already being used for GTA V E&E Edition on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, which further supports RTX and HDR natively.

It still looks better at 800 x 600 with a 4090 on a meat k tv

I mean it does, but it doesn't help the NPCs look less like clay, nor the hair look less like plastic. Ray Tracing and HDR can't fix everything.

edit:
Rockstar are essentially trying to polish a rusty nail, without first removing the rust.

Random people on steam that know it better as Rockstar are just best... :steamhappy:

Indeed , not only am I random, but my knowledge is also limited on the subject of the technical aspects of game design. In the end though, I can only comment and give my opinion based on what I see when I hop into GTA V / Online, and to me, the game could and imo should look a heck of a lot better after 10 years of updates.

But in the end, it's just my opinion.
