"Increased Sell-Mission Timer."
I should probably admit, I'm TERRIBLE at navigating. I literally cannot avoid getting lost both in games and IRL without a compass, GPS, or whatever. But, when I am forced to navigate bumpy hills & mountains, with a GPS system that more often than not tries to lead me on the FURTHEST path possible (primarily due to it strictly staying on roads, not including shortcuts), I think it becomes more than just a "skill issue."

Before I read the patch notes, I thought the timer would get doubled to 30 minutes, not just 22. The original was only 15 minutes, so they increased it only by 7 lousy minutes. It's still a 50% increase, so it's not too bad right? Well, when your first checkpoint is some random mountain that you either have to drive up, or ALL THE WAY AROUND, you end up spending AT LEAST 7 minutes dropping it off. I had to quit two solo attempts to sell my FULL bunker because I ended up getting the Monster trucks, followed by the stupid dune buggies.
Even if this were the stop & shoot Insurgents, I still don't think that 22 minutes would be nearly enough time to go back to your bunker (which can be trivialized by using a helicopter), then drive all the way back with the net Insurgent, then rinse & repeat for the last one. Not too complicated, right? Well, when you have to do it 4-5 more times, I think you start to see my point.
Increasing the timer to only 22 minutes can hardly even be called a "band-aid" solution when the clear issue is their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game design. They aren't gonna remove these missions, they probably aren't gonna change the drop-off spawns, so at the VERY DAMN LEAST, they should give us 30 minutes to at least have somewhat of a fighting chance. And even then, it still might not be enough for it to be done solo. For real, it is next to impossible to make money in this game, solo-wise.

Ok, the change is so recent. Just a few days ago came back to GTA5 so finish story mode, and today delivered two weed trash cars online and had time for them like 30 minutes? It was something short of unbelievable. Maybe a small sign of GTA6 is coming? Since in GTA5 they try to make making money painful and troublesome, so that people would just conclude that my time is worth more and buy shark cards. This anyway hilariously gives us old school gamers increased difficulty and patience management, common in old games, and therefore makes this game (infuriatingly) satisfying experience at best in populated public lobbies.

These sales were meant as multiplayer events, so deal with the consequences of soloing them.

yes you may need to restart multiple times to get something you can solo.
one of the reasons why most people abbandomed the old stuff and simply stay focused on newer stuff like nightclub etc, which was designed solo friendly.

even hangar got this lovely update with the ground based sales which makes it so much easier to multi vehicle airsale crap

in the end it is r* and they have their own wierd logic when it comes to modernize these dated businesses

Wrong. Executives DLC offered 30 minutes to sell either 3 trucks at 5 drops, 1 drop plus a few enemy vehicles at drop-off, 3 planes at one drop-off with a dozen enemies, or 1 big plane with maximum of 10 drops. All well achievable solo in under 15 minutes if you could navigate with a modicum of common sense (i.e use a fast vehicle, have armor + snacks).

Everything that came after was intentionally given a shorter sell time in order to incentivize "team play", when it was far too late in the day - and clearly obvious the prior was a better money maker at the time. 10 years since have they never gone back to Executives to shorten the sell timer, but Bikers, Gunrunning, Hangar and Nightclub businesses got given terrible vehicles and locations in which to sell, coupled with a shortened timer of 15 minutes (which my any measure) was a given failure when played solo. Only recently Rockstar buffed the Hangar business sell time up to 30 minutes. Did they do the same for Bikers, Gunrunning or Nightclub during Operation Paper Trail? No.

Rockstar state this "improvement" is for solo players, but 7 minutes does not help.

Why create a pointless patch which causes players to continue switching session to get the vehicle that allows a successful sale, instead of just offering the semi-trailer truck or black insurgents (single drop-off) for the solo player? The company is clearly offering it.

they have their feedback website ,so you could try to post your ideas for better sales overthere

it might also help if bigger influencer talk about updates for older businesses
i still wonder how this hangar update was triggered

everyone knows these ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sales mission suck, because of the awful vehicles like postwagon, trash truck or dune buggies

people avoided multiple vehicles by selling tinier ratio around 140k for the bunker
meanwhile some chads already managed to sell these monster trucks

It actually does acknowledge some shortcuts, like not every in existence, but some. When you drive the highway from the city of Los Santos to Grand Senora Desert, mainly to the RV shop (Benny's RVs or such), where the 2 Sandking XL color variants spawn during the day, you can navigate through that dirt road and the GPS actually works with it. It even suggests you to turn in there, if you mark your target destination correctly. But yes, more often than not it does select the most unconvenient road for you to travel, I do agree.

As of january 28, 2025 the timer has been decreased to 30 minutes

As long as it's 1 vehicle I have no problems, even if there were 10+ places I had to visit.
This is one of the reasons why I don't bother anymore with Bunker / MC, other than assigning them to nightclub.
