Safe to play on PC?

I played this game on Xbox 360, PS3, and PS4 before. I'm wondering if its safe to play on PC in a public lobby? How was your experience? or should i just stick to private lobby? thanks.

It is true? it's very easy to get your IP if you're playing in a public lobby? I've heard a lot of bad stuff from the community on reddit regarding the state of the game, modders running around ruining the lobby and in RDR2 online as well.

use invite only then you wont have problem as simple as that

Just use invite only. Go into single player first then pause, online, invite only session. BAM! Do whatever you want. No cheaters. It will get boring quickly if you don't have friends for it. Friends make the game alot better.

I suggest not playing it at all on PC. GTAO is a security risk. This game should only be played in an isolated environment.

Stick to private lobbies, it only takes one hacker to spam a bunch of money into your account and you can get banned no questions asked. Even if that doesn't happen, you'll likely see the every player left the lobby strike, where modders just boot you. They will delete all your ammo, which can be expensive late game. They will tp you into a cage and cause trauma. Invite only is the best place to be.

For me, the public play space is the place I'd like to be, but Rockstar forced me out of playing the game the way it was intended to be, because they refuse to deal with the cheating situation. So for me, I just don't play it anymore. Rockstar and the cheaters ruined my fun.

I mean you can still meet people here and play with them on the invite only servers. Heck I was in a crew for a while that always stuck together in crew sessions. It basically felt like a pub server but there were not modders and it was fair competition. Good times.

Clearly you don't comprehend what you're reading. I don't need nor want your bad advice. I said I don't play anymore especially since that newest RCE happened. I fixed my own problem by not playing the game. Problem solved.

Na, I'm good. GTA Online isn't for me. I shouldn't have to force myself into private sessions because I cannot play the game as it was intended to be because Rockstar was too lazy and cheap to stop the cheaters from dominating the player space I paid to play on. Sometimes it's better to just walk away from a steaming pile of .
